Wonderful hotel, fantastic service - until valet brought back a new car which had just been run into a wall (by the valet). Management immediately took care of paperwork, apologized, and paid for repairs. And then disappeared - no compensation for the multiple days of re-scheduling needed to deliver, check, and pick-up damaged vehicle. In my opinion, a shoddy response... More

Great choice for zurich city center just a couple of minutes of walk of everything. Located in an historical building in the old town with fairly large well designed rooms you will get swiss service at its best. The widder bar is also worth a visit if you like whiskey they have a huge amount of choices, moreover you can... More

We were first given a spectacular room with beautifully painted wooden beams, very historical, and very roomy. What a disappointment to discover it was a smoking room. There was a musty smell and a slight smell of smoke so we asked to change. Unfortunately the room we were given, although luxurious and with interesting art deco elements, was smaller and... More

The Widder is understated, yet elegant. We arrived with our little dog in tow and this was a first...the staff issued her a dog tag with the hotel information to add to her collar just in case she decided to sneak out on her own! Truly genius! The staff were polite, informative and helpful in a very understated way. Our... More

9 centuries-old townhouses joined by glass and steel right in the centre of the old city. No expense spared in the refurbishment. Minutes walk from the river and lake. And well worth buying a Zurich card to get around the city and museums. Cant think of any negatives. Cost for a deluxe room with separate sitting room around 750CHF pn

I love this hotel - especially in the winter. The location is perfect and the rooms are very, very comfortable - with Eames chairs, heated floors and all the technology you could want. The staff is friendly and the building has a perfect mix of old and new. It truly is one of the best hotel experiences I have had.

This is one of those hotels where nothing is too much trouble. Service is polite, efficient and helpful. This applies to the reception staff, the concierge (who sorted our sightseeing plan as well as our dining) and the staff in the breakfast room (very nice buffet breakfast and some extra cooked items are all included). Location is also spot on.... More

From the moment you arrive you feel welcome and at home, and everything works like a swiss watch. Excellent and well-trained staff, who all speak good english, a wifi system that is easy to use, an excellent restaurant, free snacks and mini bar, personal name cards, big room (45 m3) and a location that is hard to beat. Lots of... More

It is worth every cent for CHF 850 per night : Central location, excellent breakfast, quality furnishing and attentive service. Situated in the heart of the historical cum shopping district, this boutique hotel is efficiently run like the Swiss precision clock, with a bundle of small delights that other hotels should benchmark: Bang & Olufsen in-room entertainment system(TV in both... What a great location. Literally experience being a part of the history of the great city of Zurich. So close to the best shopping. Staff was exceptional. As a history fanatic, being able to stay in a location where you could feel the past was great. Our room was just beautiful, some of the best amenities that we came across... More
