This is not your ordinary boutique hotel but rather a cool restaurant/bar with rooms, so more like an inn. I loved the fact that the bar was full of locals, this added to the overall cool, trendy vibe this place has. The design in the bar is great (dark wood - perfect for a date), location is very central with... More

Old building with recently decorated rooms done with a pleasing urban edge. Limited service so best for the self sufficient traveller. Excellent for transport links and proximity to the sights. On the corner of a tram intersection which are audible in the night but not a disturbance to me. Recommended.

This is a great boutique hotel in central Zurich - but don't expect the facilities of an international five star hotel. Most notably, it was affordable (a rarity in Switzerland) and whilst the "small" double room we stayed in was, undeniably, small - it was well thought out and the bathroom was great. The hotel has its own bar and... More

I stayed at the hotel since it was booked for me and it was close to my office. I didn't check in advance what would expect me. There is no real reception. You have to ring a bell to get the door opened. The reception is in a bar. The rooms were small, the floor felt like rubber. It was... More

Helvetia is a good and friendly place to stay. I appreciate to stay in small hotels with a 'soul' this is thz case for helvetia. Nice to see Kiehls skincare in the bathroom. I had a room with a view on the river. I assume that its better than street side. A weak point. You cannot order food at the... More

This hotel is just a 10 min walk from the main train station. It has been completely redone in a truly modern design style. Really like the layout and space in the rooms. Windows are well isolated, so you don't hear the noise from the street. There is a piano bar downstairs which has a nice atmosphere. The bathroom has... More

I live in Zurich since 6 years and tried several restaurants of many levels, from cheap ones to mid range ones, this is one of the first up scale place I visited and I am really impressed. :) Loved the attentive service and the location and atmosphere, we had a business dinner with fixed menu ( selected by my boss... The Hotel is easy to reach from the central train station and offers everything you need to stay for a business-trip or weekend-visit of Zurich. Rooms are modern furnished in black&white colour, and bath-amenities are from Kiehl's. Great! But some of the rooms are really very small and go out on the streetside, so they are very noisy with all... More

The room is small, but not unexpected for Zurich for what is described as a small single. The location is good, an easy walk from the central station - however there are lots of hotels that fit this description in Zurich. The restaurant downstairs served nice food at an ok price. Service got slower as the evening went on, but... More

My initial impression was not that great, as the room was a bit basic, and the staff attitude was a bit casual. However, the place really grew on me, and the casual atmosphere became a plus. Really loved the rooftop bar with great view over the city and convivial atmosphere, particularly on the Friday evening with a mixture of clientele.... More
