The Ochsen is a lovely place to stay smack in the middle of Zug. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was bright, spacious and impeccably clean. Just up the street from the Hotel Lowen you will find the Ochsen. Everything that is wrong with the Lowen is right at the Oschen. Better larger, cleaner rooms, better bathrooms, clean modern refurb with wood floors and simple Swiss hospitality. Water and Chocolates in the room with a personalised welcome note a nice touch. Very good hotel to stay in on business trips or visiting Zug. Good location in the city, nice hotel itself - cosy, clean, comfortable, very friendly personnel, necessary facilities, swiss quality:) Stayed there a couple of times - would stay again.

A lovely traditional hotel that caters to all your basic needs. Single bedrooms feel a little small but as you only sleep there it is sufficient. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

the room was a typical business room, nothing missing but nothing exciting. I like the 60's furniture in the lobby and in dining areas, very nice.

I only stayed one night at the hotel (for business purposes). I stayed in a refurbished single room. It was clean and comfortable - not huge but an adequate size. Rooms are smallish, and spartan. Bathroom amenities could do with a friendly upgrade. Staff is efficient and friendly, breakfast buffet unsurprising. All in all, functional. The Singaporean sugar daddy with his young companion distinctly out of place in the breakfast area......the hotel is much more 'run of the mill'.
