Building reminiscent of some motel of the 70s, aged, no charisma (unless you are nostalgic for those times). Simple, clean, next to the main road between Zug and Cham, toward the highway. Surprisingly quiet from the road. Has free WiFi, reasonably fast, and this already gets it some points, being in Switzerland. Parking spaces just in front, gas station with... More

First of all, we need to see this hotel in the context of the rest of Switzerland where everything seems to be eye wateringly expensive! I stayed for three weekday nights whilst on business in the area. Upon arrival I was upgraded to a suite, which was great! Without exception the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we managed... More

Stayed two nights, comfortable and clean, quite close to the station, also close to the glossery, very convenient location. Just before the check out I walked around the hotel to buy something, but the reception lady suddenly came to me and ask "where do you go before checking out?" with the anger voice. It was quite shocking to me...

Absolutely spotless hotel. Room was clean, beds comfortable etc. I stayed during heatwave, and missed aircon in room. Opened all windows wide on second night - traffic from road faded away completely by 2230. Breakfast was excellent and fresh. Dinner menu simple but well presented. Staff super-helpful. ..... just cannot get over the heat-attack costs of everything in Switzerland! Happy... More

Very easy to find, plenty of free parking spaces, a bit slow but reliable internet connection. Breakfast was ok, nothing very fancy though. Rooms were large enough and clean. Pretty comfortable beds. The only restaurant nearby is in the hotel. It is good, but make sure to do the reservation or to come at 9pm the latest. Hotel is in... More

Overall experience was good. Very functional, spotless rooms. It's outside Zug, not a walkable distance and in an industrial area. Rooms are simple but clean and ok for a good night sleep. It's a bit outdated with deco. The prices are quite shocking for what it is. Breakfast sufficient.

I stayed here for one night in a standard single room. I was able to check in as early as noon, I think, which was nice. Check-in was easy and the people at the desk spoke perfect English. The room was clean with Toblerone left on the pillows. The room had quite a selection of complimentary coffee and tea along... More

After coming from 5-star rated hotels in London and Dublin I can without a doubt tell you that the Swisshotel Zug, is not. With the expectation meter toned back a couple of notches you will notice an impeccably clean and spacious room. The furniture is generally bland and appeared to be in place more because it must be present and... More

This hotel has better than average sized rooms for Europe. Good sized shower, small TV. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was a good selection of breads, cold cuts, cereal, fruits, eggs and breakfast sausage. Whether you prefer English or European breakfast, you should find something to your liking. It is just a short 10 minute walk to the Zug Chollermüli... More

We stayed here for a quick business/short family trip. We got a very good rate for the night, including breakfast. They put an extra bed in for our son, our double room was big enough for the three of us, clean, with some thoughtful touches, such as a chocolate on each pillow and complimentary teas and coffee as well as...
