I've actually got used to it and like it more than before. The best thing about the City Garden is how quiet the hotel is, which really helps you to a great and relaxing night sleep. Good comfortable bed, and once you get used to the somewhat "weird" layout of the room, you will enjoy it Breakfast choice is fine.... More

I was staying in Zug on business for the week. This hotel is centrally located and very convienient to the shops and restaurants. The staff was very accomodating and polite. The breakfast was included and though simple very good. As usual the rooms are smaller than in the US but clean, quiet and comfortable. All in all a fine business... More

It is a short walk from the train station when suddenly the mirror effect of the glass planes strike you upon arrival. Casting your eves from the reception over the lounge and dining area toward the bar at the back a person notices that the open plan approach is style-fully laid out. the decoration is not over powering, but enough... I love the contemporary and playful style of this hotel! There are plenty of fun little details in the architecture. The room has an open plan, with the bathroom area exposed to the sleeping area. The color palette is white and a hue of green I have not seen since the 70's... but very fun. The room had enough square... More

Conveniently located hotel set in a lovely quiet location. Just a short walk from train station and offices. Room was of superior standard with all the amenities one could expect. Hotel lounge was very nice indeed. I loved my stay here and have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Average 4 star offerings, friendly helpful staff. My problem was with the bed, like sleeping on a blanket on the floor. I know everyone's tastes are different, but I need a bit of give, since I am a front sleeper. As a result I paid about 300 francs for 3 hours sleep.

City garden is a hotel with impressive and very modern design, out side and inside. Overall the quality of the cervices was very good. There is a nice bar and restaurant on te first floor. Diner there was nice, albeit a bit expensive. The bed was very good, and the quality of the material exceptional.

I stay here regularly on business, and it's become one of my favourite hotels in Zug. The rooms are a good size, which for the longer stays makes a nice difference. The bed is comfortable, and the shower works is very refreshing. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I've always found them willing to help with any enquiries. The... More

This hotel is located next to a wooded hill which gives beautiful views, especially from the restaurant and terras. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Rooms are interesting, very stylish with an open bathroom and are very well equipped. During our stay, however, the room was very hot and impossible to cool down, the beds only had a duvet and... Stayed for good 5-6 days at City Garden. The hotel is nice and cozy and rooms are sparkling, that it has one too many mirrors and white walls helps. Although one gets irritated looking at his image everywhere after 2 hours. Very few english channels on TV. Breakfast is good and the service is nice. however lack of a pool... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The City Garden Hotel stands out because of its attractive design and the modern materials which are in total harmony with the green surroundings on the edge of the forest. A combination of contrasts that works impressively, both inside and out. The three-dimensional facade covered in chromium steel panels and the rhythmising corridors lend the City Garden Hotel a unique character. Inside, we have concentrated on warm materials such as wood but also on rough elements such as concrete. Colours are used subtly but deliberately. The City Garden Hotel, together with the City Apartments, is an ambitious showcase project and gem that will not just enhance the hotel landscape of Central Switzerland in terms of quantity but also in terms of quality. ... more   less
