We stayed at Hotel Masson in mid September. The weather was glorious. Once we parked our car we took local bus or walked into Montreux or to Chillon Castle. With the Geneva Pass given to us by the hotel, getting around the area was very easy and free. We loved the antiques throughout the hotel and enjoyed the use of... More

This is a historic Swiss hotel, that is clearly family run. This is not your fancy upscale modern hotel. Instead, it is a quaint and cozy b&b in the quiet Veytaux Village near Chateau-de-Chillon. Getting to the hotel: We had a Swiss Rail Pass, and we came during the day and caught the urban train from Montreux to the Veytaux-Chillon... More

Old ladies would love this hotel interior, our room no 1, the decor was very flowery, the floor beautiful inlaid wood very old, even the wardrobe had wallpaper on the front, it was certainly unusual. The bed was comfy, the room had antique furniture, a wash stand and chairs. The TV had no English channels, the patio doors opened onto... More

We had booked our room well in advance (advised) for the jazz festival on the 7th July 2014, having arrived from Zurich at around 2pm we headed for the 201 bus stop which can be found by heading straight out of the railway station, across the road, and down the stairs directly in front of you (remember to cross the... Our first floor room was musty, and the expensive pre-fix meal was so-so (only the soup was really good). Breakfast was generous. Our friends staying in another room did not have the musty experience we did, and they enjoyed the dinner. So, a mixed review here. Lovely staff and the front yard was pleasant for sitting out. A pleasant short... More

As one of the oldest hotels in the region, staying at Hotel Masson was akin to going back in time to 19th century Europe. The room was comfortable with a nice balcony, breakfast was delicious, and Madam was very gracious in accommodating our every whim. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. And within a 10 minute walk to Castle... More

Oldest hotel in the region, managed by the same family for over 200 years! Homy atmosphere, fantastic food, panaroma lake view (from terrece of 1st floor), and within walking distance to the favorate Chateau Chillion. Do check in before you go to the chateau because the hotel provides a visitor's card for half price of admission fee and free bus-taking.

This hotel really does have old world charm. I'm not really into the antique look but I found this hotel to have real ambience. Madam is always around to make sure everything runs smoothly and their dining room serves excellent food. If I had to fault something it would be that it is up a rather steep hill to walk... More

We spebt 2 nights near lake geneva and booked at masson hotel. It is an historic hotel( built in 1829). It seems they succesfuly keep the heritage of rhos place. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is very reach and tasty. The service is great - we had to leave very early to the airport so they gave us... More

We reserved upon short notice with assistance with a knowledgeable Swiss friend. This is not a chain hotel...If you require the comforts of an engineered 5 star then, perhaps, look further. If you can imagine enjoying a tea in the lovely sitting room with sunny afternoon views of Lac Leman, and later a delicious set dinner in a room you... More
