almost everything about this place was great - excellent staff and service, great breakfasts, quiet rooms, clean and tidy. the swimming pool and gym were good and often empty + didn't allow unsupervised children or noisy people in there either. parking underground is provided at an extra cost (around £16 per night currently). only two minor issues - no tea/coffee... more

Fantastic location. Great lake front rooms. We stayed in a very spacious suite. Excellent room service. There is a service station cafe on the main road (leave the hotel and turn right). This is the best located hotel for the Montreux Jazz festival as it is directly on the lake only a few steps from the major venues. I stayed several times at the Royal Plaza in Montreux for leisure and business and always had a fantastic stay. Last time, I spent 1 night with my girlfriend.
