Somehow they managed to build a skyscraper 16 floor hotel in Montreaux. Rooms are OK mine was at the end and was a bit tiny, no aircon. Internet is WIFI with Swisscom 4 CHF an hour if you have a Swiss mobile phone 3hrs 15CHF credit card. Location is great on the lakeside. Restaurant is OK you sit on the terrace by the lake, food nothing special. Breakfast is a cold buffet. There are always a lot of coach parties at the hotel and they have two minute elevators so at peak times you can wait 5-10 mins for a lift. There are two be two bars opposite the hotel and there is often noise at 2am in the morning so you have to shut the double glazing. Try Fuji restaurant 100M to the right of the hotel. The Italian place next t Renouvez is good so is the Mexican on Rue des Alpes more

I've stayed for one night during a stopover on my way back to Italy. Although the style is outdated, rooms are tidy, very clean and very spacious. My room was at the second floor, had a wonderful view over the lake and could accommodate 3 or 4 people.

Breakfast was also perfect with a good service. Only the night porter wasn't very helpful, but I consider this acceptable. more
