After having read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I had a deluxe lake facing room and it was really nice. The hotel staff was very helpful and answered all my questions patiently. The breakfast is expensive but ample. The room had a lovely view of the lake and one could... more

Hotel Eden Palace au Lac is a lovely, elegant old Victorian Hotel with beautiful views of Lake Leman/Geneva and the Alps. We booked a "superior" lake view room and were very pleased to find a spacious room with two windows and small balcony with incredible views of the lake and Alps. Although it had a very old world feel it... more

Having read all of the reviews of the hotel before we went we were really nervous about what we might find but we had nothing to be worried about. The main areas of the hotel are really nice, the location and views from the lakside aspect of the hotel are great . Breakfast is not included in the price but you... more

Eden Palace au Lac is an easy downhill wander from the main train station, but we chose to pay CHF 12 for a taxi. Check-in was efficient and friendly, and the hotel staff speak very good English. We were 'upgraded' from the mountain view to lake view rooms. The rooms were quite spacious, although the doubles turned out to be... more

Was a bit wary of the hotel having read the reviews on here but it turned out to be a very good hotel for a night's stay for business. My bedroom was spacious, clean and pretty quiet although I could hear people above me walking up and down their room- and that was annoying! I concur with every review that... more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and young baby. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view of Lake Geneva and a balcony. The bathroom was clean and had his and hers sinks, bath with handheld shower, bidet and toilet. Toilet roll was a bit crispy though! Sadly the bed was two twins pushed together. Maid service... more

Very very poor service if at all! Very dirty carpets and rundown hotel. No one cleaned our rooms the 3 days we were there. Useless to complain ,manager and staff were not interested. They seemed to be so used to it.Reception area was a mess.No room airconditioning working. Nobody knew what was going on!No housekeeping staff. There were 2 underpaid chambermaids... more

The hotel is in the perfect location in Montreux on the lakeside adn away from the busy main street. About a good 10 minute walk to the train station. Lake view rooms are expensive but they are worth the money with the best views over Lake Geneva. Rooms are nice and bright with some old charm. The bathrooms are long... more

My family and I stayed in two connecting rooms (including 118 on the second floor) in June 2008. This hotel property boasts an incredible view of the lake. Even though we had a good sized shared balcony, I wish we had been higher to take advantage of it. Even though it was June and the weather was warming up, the... more

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June with my husband, what a fabulous hotel. The hotel itself looks very grand, and if you are lucky enough to book a room with lake views, you wont be disappointed. We had a foom with a terrace and view of the lake and surrounding mountains - fantastic. The hotel restuarant... more
