Was really nervous about this hotel after reading some of the reviews, but wd found it really nice. Staff were fine, nice breakfast room overlooking the lake. It was our 1st trip to Switzerland is nothing to compare to, but our room was very clean, daily maid service. The hotel is a short walk to the station and the bus... More

I stayed at various hotel in my Europe trip for 4 weeks but this was the most cheap, dirty hotel I came across. As soon as you enter the hotel, you will feel that you made big mistake my booking it. Service desk people are awful. They made me and my family wait for 1 hr telling me that they... More

Don't always believe the negative reviews you read. We had a lovely 5 night stay at this hotel. In advance we requested a quiet room overlooking the lake and we were not disappointed in Room 516 (5th floor centre). The bathroom included a toilet, bidet, bath and twin washbasins. The room had twin beds pushed together, lots of wardrobe space,... More

This is the sort of hotel you need reviews to warn people about, it is appalling and should not be allowed to call itself a hotel. The entrance is on a seedy backstreet at the rear of a grubby concrete loading bay for C&A. You enter reception and are greeted by filthy stinking carpet in the lobby. We were the... More

We only stayed for one night. The lake walk is just outside the hotel and convenient location to everything. The hotel lobby looked great but the rooms weren't really very fancy but I guess in Switzerland everything is pricy so cannot really compare. The buffet breakfast had good range.

The view overlooking the lake was perfect but the noise each night was not!! As mentioned by others the soundproofing was almost non existent and the air conditioning was like a pneumatic drill This is a very tired hotel trading on past glories and needs a lot of money spent on it

Went as a family, on first impression was very disappointed, the carpet was peach and very stained with black marks all over it, whilst staying they did try to clean up the carpet but I thinks it's time to replace it, which will instantly update and make the hotel feel a lot cleaner. I was expecting much more as it... More

The hotel has an excellent location on the lake shore, with wonderful views to the lake and the mountains. Unfortunately this is the only thing that is excellent in this hotel. The rooms have an average size, but have been decorated ages ago. The carpets in the hallways are dirty (the light yellow colour does not help a lot), the... More

We stayed here for a week, and it is clear that the management take for granted the magnificent views from the rooms. Because that is the main thing the hotel has going for it. The rooms and bathrooms have not been renovated in decades, and whilst they are well proportioned, it doesn't make up for how run down the place... More

We stayed at Eden Palace in April 2014 with our 2 young children. The hotel exceeded our expectations. For the price I was not expecting to get such a wonderful view. Our room was overlooking the lake and the view was perfect. The room was clean and spacious and was more than comfortable enough for the 4 of us. The... More
