Our recent trip through Switzerland was largely unplanned, as I wanted to have flexibility to stay wherever we ended up being on any given day. We decided to stay in Montreux for the night but were having little luck finding good accommodation on the main road at a reasonable rate. We headed up the hill into the old city and... More

I visited Montreux during my trip to Lausanne. Hotel Tralala is ocated near Rue du Temple. It's good location for quick two days trip. Breakfast it not fabulous but quite good. I can evaluate sleep conditions as very good because beds are comfortable. I can recommend this hotel for short time staying in Montreux. More

Checked into the Tralala on a cold wet dark January night after a good hike up hill from the train station...we received a warm friendly welcome and answers to all our questions...a welcoming drink was provided and gratefully accepted after our journey from Basel. Lovely and warm, cozy combination of old and new....extra bonus was our delightful room on the... More

While the hotel is a bit funky, it is in a great location, has AMAZING customer service, a wonderful breakfast and is right in the heart of Montreaux. We enjoyed our stay here very much and appreciated the help of the girl at the front desk who spoke great English and gave us numerous recommendations. More

When we first arrived in Montreaux, we took bus 206 outside the train station to the hotel with our two 18 kgs luggage. A quick bus drive of about 8 mins. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We appreciate having a welcome drink offered as we did not get that often from other hotels during our... More

With heavy luggage, or more than you can carry the 15CHF journey in a taxi from the station is necessary as it's up a steep hill. However, definitely worth staying here as the stroll down towards the lake is very pleasant and there's always the free 206 bus (with the Montreux Riviera card - free from the hotel) that stops... A last-minute booking and a quick (but expensive) taxi (15F!) up the hill with a heavy bag and I was at the super-cute Tralala. Welcome drink and kind service from the bartender and an upgrade to a balcony room got me hooked-- the rooms were great and loved the three different balconies affording me views of the city, lake, and... Clean and modern. Friendly staff. Good service and acceptable breakfast, comparing with other 3star hotels. It is located in a nice and old part of the town with simple access to lake, city center and train station. But not forget to catch bus line 206 from station to hotel! More

You may want to obtain directions to this hotel before you arrive in town. We showed up in Montreux on the train rather late after hiking in Zermatt. Looked at the map outside the train station and decided we were up for a walk. Turned out to be a much longer walk than we'd planned since we missed a turn... More
