Best value for money! The location is just perfect: 3 mins on foot from the railroad station, 10-15 mins form the main city center spots. You will definitely enjoy the lake and mountains view. The rooms are not luxurious at all, but still they are clean, comfortable and kept in very good condition. The service is just perfect: very friendly,... More

An excellent, solid, traditional Swiss hotel with a warm welcome. If you arrive by train, leave the station on the Centre Ville side at the "A" end of the platforms. You will see some steps going straight up the hill in front of you. Go up them. A little further on from the top of the steps you will see... More

So, what were our needs? Comfort, quiet, a balcony, convenience to public transportation, not excessively expensive. The Hotel Elite provided all these with professionalism and style. Madame who serves breakfast is warm and accommodating. If you ask at reception, Madame will bring coffee to your room in the morning for 4 Swiss francs, and then you can descend later for... More

We stayed 2 nights in a triple room of Hotel Elite in Lausanne. This room had a double bed, a bathroom with shower stall, and separate bedroom with a true single bed. Rooms were fairly small, but there was a small sitting area with a desk in the double bed room. The hotel is expensive but comparable with other equivalent... More

We, as a alumni group, use to stay in this hotel once a year since 10 years. This hotel is very well located (center of town, near all principal commidities). Room are nicely furbished and you can enjoy free parking near the hotel. The atmosphere is sympathic, almost friendly. Highly recommended for short but also long stay. Although Rue du... More

After winding our way through the steep streets we found this hotel and were greeted warmly by the man on reception (apologies for forgetting your name!) We were impressed with the quaint fittings and fixtures and of course the amazing and tiny lift - (1 person 2 bags / 2 people 1 bag) Well located for looking around town -... More

My wife and I (in our 50s) stayed in Hotel Elite for two nights, mid-week. It is a five minute walk (uphill!) from the train station. A further five minutes uphill will take you to the heart of Lausanne. The hotel is comfortable, affordable and clean. An old-fashioned elevator took us to our second-floor room overlooking a private garden on... More

It's a pity that Trip adviser do not a "good" rating as going from average to very good leaves out a lot of places. The Hotel Elite is one such place. Good, clean, and friendly service. An excellent location only five minutes walk from the station and not more then ten minutes from the "old" town. It is situated on... More

Comfortable, hotel minutes from train station. I stayed in single room which was very small but clean and adequate for one. Only downside was shower however it did the job. Tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice. You can purchase drinks at reception but I was not aware until checking out. Mini bar prices were ok. Breakfast was good and... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the Hotel Elite in late March. The trudge up from the train station is 'invigorating,' to say the least--but no more than you're going to do wherever you go in this vertical city. (Don't go too far--it's on a cross street only halfway up the hill, not at the top.) Every hotel... More
