I stayed there for one night as it was quite close to the train station (literally next to it) which could be a plus but also a minus (read below.) The staff at the hotel were lovely, very helpful, directed me to specific areas I was looking for. The room I had was a single - quite small but cute... More

Clean though small with a great location. Loved the proximity of the lake. Complimentary bus pass. Good value. The staff was helpful. Being able to store our luggage at the hotel when we arrived three hours prior to check in was great. Our cousins who live in Lausanne recommended the hotel. We were pleased and will definitely return.

Dear Madam, Many thanks for having taken the time to post your comment on Internet. We mostly appreciate it. Hotel AlaGare bulding was built in the early 20th century to be transformed into a hotel in the 50s. Its architecture is quite complex and our room are therefore not all the same size. For your next stay, do not hesitate... More

This was one of the worst nights i ever had at a Hotel. The room, 3rd Floor was facing direction to the Railwaystation of Lausanne, and the Railroad tracks are virtually 20m away from the Hotel. During the day the room was pretty quite as the passenger trains do not have a big noise emission, but the cargo trains at... More

The hotel is in a fantastic location you walk to the opposite side of the train station where there's a lift, an escalator and a staircase, walk down, through the passage and turn left and your at the hotel. There is also a coop pronto in the train station which is open until late (well for Switzerland) The twin room... More

Dear Madam, Sir, Many thanks for having taken the time to post your comment on Internet. We mostly appreciate it. The hotel is very well located about 2 minutes walk from the main train station. The room was comfortable although quite small but had everything I needed for a weekend stay. I was lucky to be in a room that overlooked an external stairwell so I was away from any train or street noises. The hotel is located In a... More

Easy enough to find - there are lifts down to the street from the station then you walk for about 120 yards to the hotel. Comfortable and quiet 3 nights sleep (we looked onto the small courtyard - many thanks to previous TripAdvisor tips). Toilet and bathroom separated. Fridge with enough room for our own food. Lots of TV channels... More

I am quite forgetful, and so I was very thankful that I could leave my keys at reception as it was open 24/7. However, my room was quite compact and I couldn't manage to find the switch for the lights in the bathroom, and so I used the mirror lights. Very conveniently located, just a couple of minutes walk to... More

I have been for several nights in this hotel. My employer pays for it. I know different rooms. They vary very much. Some are quite spacious some very small. Sometimes you can not even stand at three sides of the bed. Some have 90cm beds. The largest i've seen was a 140cm i would say. The rooms are always clean.... More
