Double bedrooms are actually two single ones close to each other. The same applies to the sheets and blankets. We asked to have the two single duvets replaced with a double one but they could not accommodate -- a real shame. Would not rush back.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights on University business. Our experience matches that of other commentators: basic furniture, clean (but stained) carpets, adequate staffing, narrow bath/shower combination with cheap shower-head and a toilet seat that you'd get for 99 cents back in the states. Turning on the bathroom light illuminates the entire room, so bring eyeshades. On... More

This hotel is most definitely not a 4 star establishment. The rooms are large but very cheaply decorated. The beds are not very comfortable and they are extremely spongey. More like camping beds than the divans one would expect from a quality hotel. I had a room on the second floor overlooking the street which was extremely noisy even though... More

Near train station, helpful staff, very clean, large room (a triple one), great view from the window, but, in my opinion, too modern arhitecture: no normal wall between the room and the bathroom, but a glass wall, the wardrobe into the bathroom, even the frige and the coffee and tea maker is there. Maybe for a single is ok, but... More

Well, after being told by other traveler to Switzerland that rooms are small and most hotels don't have elevators (lifts), this was a great surprise! The room was large and roomy, the beds were small and I forgot to ask for the non-down comforter. I don't know if it is a European thing or just because, but all of the... More

I stayed here one night, my company booked it, and when I read the reviews in tripadvisor I expected a bad hotel since only 59% recommended this hotel. The postive thing was that if you don´t expect much, you won´t get disappointed. Indeed, actually, I was rather positively suprised. But this was mainly probably because I got a very large... More

Stayed here in September 2014 for a weekend. Did not expect much as I know Lausanne quite well, but the least you expect is polite staff. I dont know if the receptionist did not speak English / French properly or he enjoyed making us look crazy, but it was not a nice welcome. Having previously booked a garden view room... More

I was here in October 2014 - the weather outside was cool but the room was steaming hot. The A/C didn't work, but I noticed a little pamphlet that says it's a city regulation that the A/C can't be turned on if the weather outside is below, so they disable it from October to May. This made for pretty miserable... More

Like most, I would assume, I picked the hotel because it's within easy access of the train station in Lausanne - which is indeed the case, and unfortunately also the most positive thing to say. At night, the neighbourhood is typically 'train station', although in Lausanne you rarely ever feel unsafe or such. In the morning, there are decent cafe's... More

It's got a little gym which is nice, you can relax and have a workout there. The WIFI is really poor though. I called down to reception and was informed that when the hotel is fully booked, the availability is very low. It's a four star hotel, internet doesn't cost a lot, certainly the amount of data I consume could... More
