We really only needed a hotel in the centre of Stans for one night during carnival weekend. This hotel was an easy short walk from the train station and town. Our double room actually had 4 beds in it, so was quite spacious. However, wouldn't want to share the tiny bathroom with three other people. Breakfast was in the nicely... More

It's a good hotel if you need something comfortable and clean to sleep, there are nice rooms and ok rooms, but all of them have the basics you need to have a good sleep and a clean shower. The train is not really noisy at all, but you can hear it a bit. There is no parking at the hotel... More

My husband and I visited this hotel as part of a tour group. The hotel is situated nicely with a beautiful view of the mountains and the ski-slopes. Very picturesque. That is however the nicest thing I can say about the hotel. The room was small and had no air conditioning. The carpets were old and needed to be cleaned.... More

We stayed in a room for three for three nights. The room was adequate....clean and comfortable, but nothing special. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. The service was friendly. The location just next to the Stanserhorn lift was convenient if you plan to go there. It was a bit pricey, I thought, but maybe not by Swiss standards.

This hotel is right next to the train tracks so that is what I was hearing while trying to sleep. If you can get a room not facing the tracks, you will probably be okay. Room was quite small as was the bathroom. There is no safe in the room. Breakfast sucked, but dinner was okay. I would not stay... More

We were very disappointed that the room did not smell as clean as the last 10 hotels that we have stayed in the last 2 weeks. The space on the rooms are extremely small. There is a beautiful church and train station close to the hotel (in case that you want to visit Lucerne) it cost approx 6 euros. Do... More

We arrived at Stanserhof hotel on new years day. The hotel is located in the outskirts and a bit far from the city area of Lucern. The rooms are neat and tidy and bathrooms are clean although shower cubicle a bit small but lovely hot water, as it was winter and enjoyed the hot shower. The keys were pretty old... More

B&B. Modern looking. Dinner was hote and quite delicious although service was slow due to shortage of staff. Non one at reception after dinner maybe because staff was mobilized to serve dinner. Location in outskirt. Room is big and toilet is modern and clean. TV has many international channels and better options than international hotel chains we stayed in the... More

I stayed at the Stanserhof as part of the Trafalgar tour. I stayed in a single room. The shower is very small, you have to watch out so you don’t turn off the water or turn it to one side, resulting in too hot or cold water, freezing or scalding you. The room keys were actual old keys and were... More

Not the ideal experience: there are railway tracks right next to the hotel (~5 m). If you are not lucky enough to get a room on the opposite side, away from tracks, your sleep will resume to 4 hours at night, when no train passes by. There is no AC, no WIFI, no decent breakfast. The hotel manager was not... More
