The best youth hostel in Zermatt. You'll receive a nice tidy cozy room with view of Matterhorn with very less money. You'll just need to work out a bit to get tho the hostel but heyyy its worth it, trust me !!!

I was in this lodging for 2 nights and it was satisfactory. The hostel is clean and hygienic. It is definitely not cheap compared to other countries but assuringly yes when one compares to rest accommodations inside switzerland (a country that is simply costly) The hostel is a wee bit up a hillock away from the central region, which is... It's a pretty decent hostel with all the basic amenities. The rooms and pretty neat and clean. It's really surprising that such hostels don't have elevator. So if you're carrying heavy luggages with your children it's not really suitable. Otherwise it's a good place to stay in Zermatt.

There are broadly two parts of Switzerland the German and French. And the ethos and way of working of two are different and contrasting. We had just left Interlaken and some very stark difference emerged. The German Interlaken were business like and had a live reception 24 by 7. When we went to ask them for some spoons and glasses... It's rare to find affordable accommodation like this in Switzerland since Switzerland is generally known to be quite expensive. Regardless, beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to providing information about Zermatt attractions. One thing about it's location is that although it's just a 15-20 minute walk from the train station, the fact that... More

Stayed in spring (low season) so had lots of time to "consult" staff about everything in town from restaurant and bar recommendations to information about various time tables for trains, history of the hostel, etc. Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and happy making it a pleasure to stay here. Save money on lodging by staying at the hostel and... More

This is a good option in Zermatt for the ones seeking reasonable prices. The place is clean and in quite zone of the village. The place is not very close to the station and you also need to climb up the hill to reach it, but the breathtaking of the Matterhorn from the rooms and common areas indeed worth the... More

It was my first time in Switzerland. Beautiful walk from the train station. It was hard to find so we got a taxi (craziest things in the world.) When we got there it was lovely. Nice and warm, staff were friendly. We had our evening meal ready for us. The food was alright (took a bit of adjusting to it.)... More

My sister and I stayed in a Double Ensuite at Zermatt Youth Hostel. Though not right outside the train station, it was easy to be located by foot. As for the Ensuite, we were impressed that it was very spacious and clean with a sufficient bathroom. The breakfast provided was simple yet sufficient to keep us energized for the day,... More

Liked the location and food which was complementary. Bed was cozy and much needed after the tiring trek on the Matterhorn trail. Station is couple of minutes walk which is actually true for entire Zermatt give the size of this beautiful swiss town.
