A beautiful hotel, very quiet, located in an area with a low transit of tourists, with a very, very friendly staff (they always hep if you need something). Elegant with a touch of wood, you can taste the flaw our of the mountain inside. Ideal for a week of skiing or dedicate it as a base camp for the rest... More

I have been staying at the Chesa Valese this week during a skiing trip. The hotel is ideally situated near the centre of Zermatt and has easy access to a number of lift options to get up the mountain. The staff have been fantastic, nothing has been too much trouble for them. My room is lovely and spacious, has free... More

Choose this hotel from Booking.com and reviews on tripadvisor as a birthday present for the mother in law......what a fantastic and welcoming place..... staff so helpful on arrival, even though it was 10.45 am, the room was ready. The rooms are very well apoointed and spacious, we had view of Matterhorn. Will definitely be back here again...... A must stay... More

We had a nice welcome after our train journey from Montreux and transfer from the station to the hotel by electric taxi - no traffic is allowed after 11 a.m. We were there in the "off" season and not many people staying at the hotel. I had a lovely room with a walk-out and seating for a great view of... More

Only could stay one night as I was going on to another destination the next day. As I had heard that there were no cars in Zermatt, I didn't know what to expect as to how to get there from the train. Actually it was easy....the town is so small it wasn't hard to find as long as you have... More

We stayed 7 nights here and had a great time. The rooms were just lovely and the hotel staff was amazingly accomodating. Breakfast was copious and fresh, with fine breads (many different kinds) from the local bakery, jams, fish, yogurts, fruit, muesli, and meats. Even could have had Prosecco (but who can drink before 9AM?). In the afternoons they had... More

...but I was there alone. When i called the hotel, the owner Mrs Daniela Julen answered with wit and humor! For me this was just a one night crash but I felt I had been there for a week. The hotel is facing the Matterhorn so it makes reading a book on the balcony a pure delight. The rooms are... More

The fact that I am taking the time to write this review even after 3 months is a testament to how I appreciated my stay there. Our family of 4 was in Zermatt for a ski week and stayed in their 2-storey suite with a view over the Matterhorn. It is not cheap but it was worth it. The view... More

we really liked this small hotel in Zermatt. Stayed recently for a family skiing holiday. The rooms were charming and comfortable. The staff at Front Office were very helpful and the breakfast was of a good quality and variety. The hotel is also well located, a short walk from the main high street. Really enjoyed.

A friendly family run clean, comfortable and slightly old-fashioned Valais style hotel well located in central Zermatt. The rooms are warm, spacious, airy with nice balcony, and although ours was too low to have a mountain view, it had windows on both sides. Furnishings throughout are pleasant and traditonal, lots of ornaments, ribbons, figurines etc (think the swisss equivalent of... More
