We came to Zermatt on Easter weekend and booked a room last minute at this charming hotel. The location is ideal to get to the center of town as well as the trails. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was cosy and clean. Sunny and warm breakfast room filled with Easter bunnies which made the stay very... More

We have nothing to say but compliments. We have enjoyed every moment of our stay. All hotel team was amazingly friendly and helpful. We need to say that Gisela really makes us feel at home. The hotel Chesa Valese and the team was above our expectations! We hope to come back soon!

During my recent journey throughout Switzerland this was easily the best hotel I experienced. It is an intimate, but genuinely welcoming facility. It cannot be compared to the grand hotels of Europe, but in itself it provides an experience that is worthy of trying. It is but a 15 min stroll from the main railway station passing through a very... More

A beautiful hotel, very quiet, located in an area with a low transit of tourists, with a very, very friendly staff (they always hep if you need something). Elegant with a touch of wood, you can taste the flaw our of the mountain inside. Ideal for a week of skiing or dedicate it as a base camp for the rest... More

I have been staying at the Chesa Valese this week during a skiing trip. The hotel is ideally situated near the centre of Zermatt and has easy access to a number of lift options to get up the mountain. The staff have been fantastic, nothing has been too much trouble for them. My room is lovely and spacious, has free... More

Choose this hotel from Booking.com and reviews on tripadvisor as a birthday present for the mother in law......what a fantastic and welcoming place..... staff so helpful on arrival, even though it was 10.45 am, the room was ready. The rooms are very well apoointed and spacious, we had view of Matterhorn. Will definitely be back here again...... A must stay... More

We had a nice welcome after our train journey from Montreux and transfer from the station to the hotel by electric taxi - no traffic is allowed after 11 a.m. We were there in the "off" season and not many people staying at the hotel. I had a lovely room with a walk-out and seating for a great view of... More

Only could stay one night as I was going on to another destination the next day. As I had heard that there were no cars in Zermatt, I didn't know what to expect as to how to get there from the train. Actually it was easy....the town is so small it wasn't hard to find as long as you have... More

We stayed 7 nights here and had a great time. The rooms were just lovely and the hotel staff was amazingly accomodating. Breakfast was copious and fresh, with fine breads (many different kinds) from the local bakery, jams, fish, yogurts, fruit, muesli, and meats. Even could have had Prosecco (but who can drink before 9AM?). In the afternoons they had... More

...but I was there alone. When i called the hotel, the owner Mrs Daniela Julen answered with wit and humor! For me this was just a one night crash but I felt I had been there for a week. The hotel is facing the Matterhorn so it makes reading a book on the balcony a pure delight. The rooms are... More
