On arrival at Zermatt (i am not a skier), it felt a bit like Blackpool on ice, but once a few yards from the station, where all the electric taxis and horse dean carriages gather (this is a car free town), then the town took on a quieter air. In fact Zermatt proved to be a delightful town, very clean... More

Had a marvellous weekend in Zermatt and coincidendtly found this good hotel. It is located along the main street close to everything. Two minutes walk from the Gornergrat train and you will make the first tracks in the slope. The personel in this hotel deserves an extra eloge. Very friendly and tried to do the best of my stay. I... This is a wonderful find in Zermatt. The hotel is situated on the main street halfway between the train to the Gornegrat and the gondola and also a short walk to the Sunegga lift. We actually skied to the train because there was fresh snow in the street! The receptionist of the hotel named Veronica was outstanding...just as nice as... More

We stayed at Testa Grigia for a week. In my view, it represents outstanding value for pretty much the most central and convenient location in Zermatt. It's an easy 3 min walk from the train station, even lugging bags and ski gear. It's on the left, between two distinctive green apotheke signs. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel presentation.... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night only, and the criteria for our choice were, in order, proximity to railway station, price, TripAdvisor comments. The hotel is a short walk away from the station, you just turn right on exit, walk along the main street and keep your eyes open for the name on the left side of the... More

This is the best hotel I stayed during my trip in Switzerland. Location is perfect. 5 minutes walk from the train station and 15 minutes walk to Matterhorn glacier. Great view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The room is very spacious, comfortable and there's cafe machine to make a nice warm cup of espresso. The breakfast is pretty nice... More

This is most enjoyable stay during our 2 weeks' trip in Europe. It is a small hotel but the room is very spacious and furniture is very new. The service is superb: when we reached the hotel, the friendly receptionist walked us to our room and explained patiently how to operate appliances like the coffee maker. Only the best is... More

I stayed here for 1 night. The room was newly furnished and the bathroom very spacious. There are nice amenities in the room such as a coffee maker and bedroom sleepers. We were very glad they serve a good variety during their breakfast spread and it includes fried eggs and soup instant noodles. We appreciate having the warm food in... More

This is the best hotel I stayed during my two weeks trip in Switzerland. The boss remeber every guest's name and room number, which makes me feel very comfortable, like being at home. The breakfast is pretty nice, including many kinds of choices. Plus, I could just watch the live TV to know the weather on the mountain, and decide... More

There's not much to add - this little hotel is a true gem. The staff is friendly, its big rooms are wonderfully equipped and airy. The view of Matterhorn Mountain from my balcony was quite breathtaking. Breakfast was excellent. Location is perfect - you have shops, banks, restaurants and the train station all within a 5-minute walking distance. I'd definitely... More
