We researched our choices well to find a quality hotel in the middle of town with easy access to all of Zermatt. What we found when we arrived was a beautiful hotel on a hill a short walk from the center of town. The pleasant surprise was the incredible views of the Matterhorn from our balcony and also from the... More

My wife and I stayed here and the original Owner and Husband took care of us.Our room had the perfect view of the Church and Mountain from our room. This was 1971. I was stationed in Germany in the USAF. It was my favorite hotel in all my years. Guy

first the positives. Fantastic position by the river, views of the Matterhorn uninterrupted from the front of the hotel and breakfast area. Very polite and helpful staff, breakfast was excellent with a choice of all you would expect, smoked salmon, small selection of hot food, great selection of everything else. 20% off ski rental from the shop which is in... Dear Antony, Thank you very much for your review. It's great that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel. We will turn the heating in our ski room down since it really is quite warm in there. We hope to see you again soon and wish you all the best. More

We just returned from our first ski trip to Zermatt. We stayed at La Couronne for one week and it was just perfect. Very clean, great service, wonderful breakfast, and what a view of the Matterhorn. Because the hotel is by the river, you have unobstructed views of the Matterhorn...breathtaking! If you are a skier, the location is perfect. The... More

Hotel La Couronne is very well situated in central Zermatt. The bus to the ski slopes stops right outside and it is a short walk to get to the Main Street. Breakfast is traditional European and good. They have the restaurant Old Zermatt and a sport shop situated in the hotel. We were unfortunate in the the previous guest had... More

We stayed at the La Couronne Hotel in Zermatt for 2 nights in October 2014. It is an easy walk from the railway station or you can organise a pick up by the hotel. It is right next to the river. Breakfasts are in the conservatory and the available choice is great and the room itself is a lovely place... More

Hotel La Couronne is the perfect place to stay in Zermatt! We stayed there 3 nights in October, 2014. Our Room # 407 was the perfect room, a large double room on the Hotel's top floor, with a balcony looking out across the river, and with an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. In fact, the bridge, on which we stood... More

We stayed at the Hotel La Couronne for one night on October 10. The room was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Our room faced the Matterhorn with the river on the right. The windows in the room, when closed, blocked all sound from the rushing water. Good thing if you were afraid of not being able to sleep with... More

That's about it. Modern, clean, and well run. Located towards the south end of Zermatt, it's a bit of a schlep in you are walking to the train station. But of course the hotel driver will pick you up and drop you off. After a week of small Swiss villages, we were a bit put off by the hustle, bustle... More

After a week in the mountains and in less exspensive accomodations, it was fantastic to have three nights at this hotel. Spacious rooms. The staff was very polite and helpful. Must mention the breakfast: it was tasteful and especially the coffee was outstanding! Mmmm espresso! I hope I will come back.
