We spent a week in Feb 2009 in this homely and cozy hotel. It is exactly as they advertise: a 3 star hotel with 5 star cuisine. We had a nice room with a double bed and unobstructed views from the balcony and through the window to Matterhorn (not all rooms have that - make sure to ask in advance to get a room with a view). The room itself was clean and very cozy with a recently refurbished bathroom. The bed was large and very comfortable with warm bed comforters.

The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the center which actually provides a nice and quiet location. No noise from bars or nightclubs. The walk to the closest ski bus stop takes about 2-3 minutes and if tired, the electric taxis are very handy and inexpensive - 3 Francs per person (fixed price) from the hotel to the lifts. The hotel also has free transportation to and from the railway station when you arrive and leave.
