This is my second time at this hotel and would definitely go back. I visited this hotel with my brother and his 2 children, I had booked a single room for myself and was given a lovely double room with a view of the main street. The food in the hotel was absolutely wonderful and each evening with the exception... more

We stayed here for 3 nights, as part of a Kuoni Tour. On arrival the whole group, was "bumped" from the promised junior suites to their self-catering ski lodge The Residenz.. Overbooking at this hotel is not an isolated occurrence. The lodge was next door to a noisy, dusty building site, operational from 7:15-18:15 daily. Hardly a surprise to the... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Schweizerhof, but we're disappointed with the service at the hotel. The location is great and we had a nice room with incredible views of the Matterhorn. At the risk of being picky here is my list of complaints: The maids do a bad job. The didn't empty the very full garbage in my room.... more

Great location, very close to train station but not noisy, view was of green roof and mountains but even the not great view was fine. Balcony was nice option. No double or queen beds, just two single beds pushed together. Staff was very friendly. Free internet, both Mac and PC, in the lobby, is a bonus. Chocolate store at entrance... more

Easy 2 min walk from train station. Excellent service at the hotel and large size room (incl balcony) and bathroom. There is only one place that hires ski clothing (Baynards) and it's not that good. Buying ski clothing there is very expensive and there is no snowboard clothing to be found, so take your own ski gear with you. Hotel... more

I returned again with friends and when they went my family came. The food was excellent and sensible proportions. The staff are very helpful except at reception where this year they were a bit frosty. I had 3 rooms this year .With friends we had a huge suite in the new wing .This was good and spacious. With the family we were given... more

We stayed in this hotel for two nights during March 2008. The location of the hotel is very good, just next to the railway station. We found the hotel easily and the check in was very smooth. The room which we had was fairly big in size and we had space to move around even after accommodating an additional bed... more

I have mixed feelings about this hotel: i loved: open plan and relaxing /laid back bar - lounge area. ski hire within hotel close location to train upto mountain jose at front of desk, most helpful disliked paying 320 pounds for junior suite with view of matterhorn which had a cheap finish and a horrible green carpet (more 80 pounds a... more

The lobby, dining room and hotel rooms are outdated (a neighbouring person typified the diningroom as a 'cheap conference centre'). The rooms at the front are to be avoided as these the street can be noisy and the smell of Macdonalds is signalled at the balcony. The balconies at the front did not have any furniture. The quality of the... more

This was the second stop on our 2 week European vacation with our 2 teenage daughters (18 & 13). We were thrilled to find that the hotel was a very short walk from the train station. We did not stay in the main hotel, but rather in their Residence across the street. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with full... more
