If you love to stay in a unique hip place, this is the hotel you have to book! Unique design, family ambiance and a perfect central location from where you even can see the signature mountain matterhorn! I really can recommend this place, the bar with the cinema in the underground is unique and the furniture in this hotel is... More

We just loved this small Boutique Hotel, placed in town center, yet being so quiet. The whole hotel is equipped with Heinz Julen's artistic designer furniture. At each "passage" in the hotel you discover new amazing details. It took me some time to turn off the lamp over the sink, as I did not dare to pull at the place... More

Best Birthday ever! thank you to the Backstage. Such a pleasure to stay in a unique and beautifully designed hotel. We didn't want to go out! our room overlooked the Matterhorn, Lovely, creative details in the room ....and the fireplace and balcony we really enjoyed especially. This property was lovely. Our room was lovely and interesting. From the personal greeting by the wonderful Annalena to the sleek design, we were so happy with choosing this hotel. Easy location - close to everything in this lovely town. Good breakfast too. Highly recommended!

My husband and I felt happy to stay in this chic chalet for 2 nights in July with our mothers. We booked two standard double room with balcony. This is the most stylish boutique hotel that we have ever stayed. Breakfast is nice and we love the smoked salmon and various bread so much! The room is clean with comfortable... More

Such a great hotel with such interesting and thoughtful design and architecture. The spa is not to be missed - a wonderful treat. The rooms are fantastic with modern amentities. The location is easy to find and overlooks the tennis courts. The breakfast is great with many different choices and fantastic coffee.

We stayed for 3 nights in early July. The weather was appalling, so bad we couldn't see the Matterhorn from our hotel room (frustrating after paying more to get the view!) but the hotel made up for not being able to see the mountains. The deluxe double was nice and spacious and the bath with a view was brilliant. The... More

The hotel is close to Zematt train station. The design of lobby and the room is very special. The staffs are very nice and offered us a drink when we arrived and departed. The breakfast is very nice as well. The only thing need to be improved is the Wifi connection is very bad in the room.

We've stayed in a few of Zermatt's amazing hotels, twice in sister (?) hotel Coeur des Alpes (which is amazing) This is a very arty hotel, with the usual welded loo fittings, instruments & cups making the wacky chandeliers, chairs & the rest of the hotel. We stayed in one of the cubes which is a very cool looking cube... More

We have just returned from a fantastic few days in Zermatt. The Backstage Hotel made our 8th Zermatt visit one of our BEST!! We stayed in the Loft (Rm 204) for 4 nights,.. and there was not a thing we could fault. The place is so so funky, so well thought out , so functional , so original in design,... More
