We visited last year for a week's skiing trip and enjoyed it so much that we are revisiting this year. The hotel staff were all incredibly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had a spacious room, with a beautiful Matterhorn view from the panoramic bay window. The hotel was impeccably clean with lovely modern chalet decoration. The breakfast was... More

Away from main town centre, but that's okay as it is close to the station and ski hire shop. The best way I can describe the hotel is a small apartment block with breakfast and a small bar/lounge area but that is everything I expected from the web site photos. If you want a place to stay, nice clean room... More

We stayed for 3 nights here. Hotel location is abt 10-15min walk from the train station. However, it is strongly encouraged to either arrange for hotel buggy pick-up svc if not a taxi ride. This is especially challenging if you are travelling with luggage in-tow on a snow covered path/road.. uphill to the hotel. Hotel room was cosy as we... More

Excellent stay! My first time in Zermatt although not to ski, only to see the Matterhorn. Beautiful hotel, my favorite room is the breakfast room. My bathroom had a rain shower and after a long day of traveling it was nice! Josef the owner if fantastic and great with tips on everything.

What an adorable, boutique hotel located in the heart of Zermatt. Within 2 minutes, we were able to rent skis and within a 3 min walk, we were taking the lift up the mountain. What a prime location! The free breakfast was delicious and offered free champagne as well! The layout of food was beautiful. Free wifi in the lobby.... More

Views from the room was excellent. Rooms were cozy and clean. Hotel owners were really friendly and atmosphere in the hotel was welcoming and warm. The gym in downstairs was really fully equipped and great.

All we can say is WOW. Josef was fantastic with his accommodations and advice, the room was excellent, and the breakfast was a perfect starter for every day. We highly recommend this establishment for everyone and will certainly stay there again the next time we go to shred the slopes in Zermatt. Thanks! SK Benton

Our family of five stayed at this delightful hotel during the Christmas holiday. The owner, Josef and his entire staff were extraordinarily attentive in addressing all of our questions and requests. Our two adjoining rooms were in impeccable condition, very spacious and the beds were nice and comfy (even the pullout couch sleeper!). Breakfast was offered in a sunlit room... More

We've just returned home after 4 nights at Hotel Phoenix. From the first enquiry email, through to leaving the hotel this morning, the experience has been extremely pleasant, hassle-free and client focused. Josef (Schaller) the owner, designed and built the hotel in 2009, with his builder brother. The brothers have created an excellent contemporary building but in a style very... More

We know the Phoenix Zermatt since opening. For years now we are very happy clients of this house. You will live in a very nice, well in environment embedded and with charm made hotel. The rooms are very nice and the balcony offers you a great view on the Matterhorn. The manager and his crew are very kind and helpful.... More
