We know the Phoenix Zermatt since opening. For years now we are very happy clients of this house. You will live in a very nice, well in environment embedded and with charm made hotel. The rooms are very nice and the balcony offers you a great view on the Matterhorn. The manager and his crew are very kind and helpful.... More

Zermatt was the first stop of our honeymoon trip. We chose the Hotel Phoenix and could not have been more pleased. We stayed in room 404 looking directly at the Matterhorn. Both the sunrise and sunset views were breathtaking. The room was in perfect condition and we could open the glass doors to feel the cool breezes of the Swiss... More

The hotel has a modern twist on an old chalet, very tastefully done and very cosy. Breakfast was especially good, lots of choice and prosecco to start your day - brilliant touch. Transfers to and from the station were complimentary and any question we had was never to much effort for the whole team. They were all very welcoming and... More

We stayed in room 404 for 2 nights and the room was so lovely! We could view the Matterhorn from our room! breakfast selection was adequate and the fruits were really fresh and yummy! However, there is no kettle in the room, but the team is very friendly to fill up our instant noodles cup with hot water at the... More

We arrived in Zermatt planning to stay only one night. As soon as we arrive we realized that one night was not enough time to spend in this beautiful place. We didn't have any accommodation booked so we were worried we couldn't find something available last minute for a reasonable price. We were very happy to find Hotel Phoenix which... More

My partner booked this hotel and I quickly checked out the pictures on Tripadvisor. It is what you read and see on this website. The owners (couple?) were welcoming and gave very good advice on the activities while we were at Zermatt. We stayed for 3 nights, room was very clean and the Matterhorn view was magnificent and mesmerizing. Breakfast... More

Had a wonderful experience at Hotel Phoenix in Zermatt. This hotel is located within walking distance to the train station and Gorgengrat Bahn. Our rooms were great and had a fantastic view of the town. The location was quite and perfect of family and kids. Although there was no Wi-Fi in the room itself, their lobby has free Wi-Fi 24hrs... Day 101 of our Around the World Honeymoon (since there were no Marriotts) took us to a great hotel and fabulous penthouse rooms overlooking the Matterhorn! Our room had a great deck, floor to ceiling glass windows and doors. Front Desk was very helpful and the small bar and fireplace made it very cozy. Highly recommend it!

This hotel is situated up a steep slope and if you are carrying lots of luggages like us, it is better to call the hotel for pick up service once you reached the train station. It will cost you CHF5 per person per trip. (Electric cars and horses are the only form of transport in this lovely little town).. We... More
