We chose a room with a balcony and a view of the Matterhorn. On this unseasonably cool summer, we wondered if it would make its majestic appearance, as it was shrouded in clouds upon our arrival via the Glacier Express from Pontresina. First full day! Oh my goodness! Majestic and blue sky. Breakfast that morning was spectacular with our server... More

I have been there for one night only. However, the only impression I had was with the breakfast they provided. The staff who took care breakfast was really friendly and helpful. Room and location are quite average in my view.

The room was small but not atypically so. The bathroom was actually quite large. Large balcony with a view of the Matterhorn. The view was mildly obscured by a crane from the construction across the street but not so that it interferes with the enjoyment of the view. This hotel is well located and quiet, although it is by a... More

Homely kind of rooms with pine cladding walls, crisp and clean white sheets and towels. Daily cleaning of rooms and shared facilities. I had the solo bedroom with shared bathroom which were both small but clean and functional. I liked the lay-out of the property as well and I enjoyed a single room that had its window open to the... When: 8-15 Feb 2014. Who: couple. Cost: 400 GBP pp incl flights & transfers Agent: SkiWorld Everyone says it so it much be true !-) This property is very well located in Zermatt, the local ski buses, should you need them, stop outside the hotel and it's a short (5min in boots) walk to Sunnega ski lift. The room has a balcony facing the snowy mountain. HOw nice! The restaurant serves local deer meat and other games at a very affordable price 30-40 Franc each. So delicious! We walked around the town, mostly tourist kind of pizza, pastar costs the same price as this one. Love this place. Highly recommend.

We stopped in Zermatt for one day and night. The main reason for the visit was to see the Matterhorn and luckily it was a clear day. We were fortunate to get to stay in the room with a balcony facing the Matterhorn. What a view to wake up to!!! Rooms in Switzerland are very basic but was all that... More

Terrific location with a huge balcony area you can actually walk out onto. The views of the Matterhorn were awesome! The room smelt like fresh timber, bed was very comfortable with our own bathroom and breakfast really good. This was one of my favourite stays in Switzerland!

We spent two nights in a room with a great view of the Matterhorn. At night we left the window open at the top and were lulled to sleep by the sound of the river running just outside. The climb up the stairs is steep and difficult if you have large bags or are older. The restaurant was very good... More

I stayed two nights at this little hotel in Zermatt and was very pleased. The Swiss couple that runs the place are very friendly, and speak several languages. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the train station (some places in town you'll be walking quite a ways and uphill.) I'm a solo budget traveler, so I opted... More
