Febuary 2014 My girlfriend and i stayed at the hotel blauherd and were picked up by a lovely man in the electric car, dropped off at the hotel and everything appeared to be very nice. Apon opening the door, it became clear that the extra money we paid to have our own toilet and bathroom was wasted, as we had... More

Friendly and comfy hotel but definitely a bit dated and devoid of fancy amenities. The gentleman that runs the hotel really made us feel at home. And to be honest this place fit well into our budget. So overall a good experience.

I stayed at Blauherd for a recent ski trip; the room was fine, but there was no door for the bathroom, only a curtain. Also, the water was only a little warm so the shower was short. The bed was comfortable so no complaints there. I appreciated the shuttle to the train station. The stay was not without things that... More

Stayed here at the end of walking the haute route and the view of the Matterhorn from our balcony was stunning. The owner was very friendly and helpful, with excellent English. Clean, comfortable and great breakfast. A little out of town but we preferred that to the noise of the main street.

We stayed here on an over-night trip to Zermatt and it was perfectly fine for a place to sleep. We went there for two days of outdoor activities, so we really just needed a place to clean up and sleep. It's nothing fancy, but we found it comfortable, clean enough, and the staff friendly. Breakfast was fine. The location is... More

The Hotel Blauherd was one of our favorite hotels in all of Switzerland! My husband and I finished a walking honeymoon (2.5 weeks of walking from Chamonix to Zermatt then through Italy back to Saas Fee) in August without any advance hotel reservations. We were really lucky to have found a bed every night, but the Hotel Blauherd was one... More

Accommodation is expensive in Zermat and this was reasonable in comparison. Rooms very comfortable and we booked three rooms which all had en suites. Two had a lovely view of the Matterhorn which was everchanging but unfortunately my room did not. A good 10 minute walk gets you into town and was no problem except for my elderly mother. There... This hotel is perfect if you need somewhere to sleep. The rooms are small but very clean, comfortable and do the job nicely. We stayed in a double room with en suite. The breakfast was excellent and they even served it a hour earlier than usual for us as we had an early train to catch. Zermatt is expensive either... More

Our stay at the Hotel Blauherd was overall very nice. Our room was very clean, the staff was friendly, our view fabulous and the breakfast was above average. The only surprise (to us) was that the toilet was down the hall and shared by others, although the shower and sink was in the room. The location was a good 10-15... More

Blauherd hotel is a good option if you are looking for a cheaper option in Zermatt. While the location is not great as it is quite far from the Bahnhoffstrasse this is not a big impediment as Zermatt is not that big. The hosts were friendly, rooms while small, were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was decent as... More
