it has been a few years since we have stayed there, but one of our most charming places that we have stayed in Europe. Great Swiss atmosphere, you meet interesting people and you are within walking distance to everything.

Almost impossible to find a convenient facility in Zermatt...but Banhorf is! I've been here for the fourth time and I'm planning the next! Rooms are essential, very clean, also if you glad to choose a backpacker experience on skiing...the big room is your one!

Stayed here in September for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but clean, comfortable and quiet. No breakfast but plenty of places close by for that. About 30 seconds from the train station (you can't hear them) it was certainly convenient and you're on the main town road. About 100 CHF per... More

This is agree at find, very, very clean and neat and right by train station. Reception is delightful. Large commercial kitchen downstairs for you use, beautiful sunny deck with picnic table. We wish we could find more of these.

This was a very nice place to stay. You can't beat its location as it is right next to train station and surprisingly it was very quiet. It has a shared kitchen and is only a couple blocks away from a grocery store which is nice. Rooms were small but adequate and comfortable. The wait staff was very helpful. If... More

The rooms in the hotel are fairly simple (no tvs in the rooms) but impeccably clean and with a wonderful shared kitchen where you can keep food and cook. The location is also wonderful, right across the street from the train station and next door to the train that takes you up to the top of the ski mountain.

The two main pros are of course the location right opposite the train station and the price. Well, it's expensive, but cheaper than the rest of Zermatt and there is a dorm for single travellers. We chose a room with bathroom, but it was very small, and like someone else said, the pillows ver extremely flat. But we asked for... More

First let me say, its pretty noisy and tons of people come home late. The rooms are basic, the mattress could be replaced and best bring your own pillow because they are as flat as they can get. It's a great location and has a kitchen for you to use, be sure to get there before the big crowed otherwise... More

Just step out of the Zermatt train station and you can definitely see it. Hotel Bahnhof is so conveniently located that it would be hard to be missed. Apart from being near the train station, it is also a short walk away from Coop, where you can buy some cheap food or snacks, particularly so if you wanna cook for... More

Spent 3 nights at Hotel Bahnhof in September 2013 and was very pleased with the property, location and facilities. Across the street from the train station and a few steps to the main part of town. Room 7, with it's own bathroom, was a tad small for 2 adults with luggage, but it was clean and the bathroom had a... More
