We stayed in apartments building, 2nd floor. The view of Matterhorn from its balcony is wonderful. The kitchenette amenities were complete and very well-designed, ready to make you feel at home for a few days of stay. The breakfast was fairly good and fresh. The environment is very quiet and calm. The staff were fine (not very helpful as you... More

Our group of friends came together to zermatt for two nights recently . The hotel is centrally located and has the quaint charm of an alpine town. The facilities are good and staff are well spoken and efficient. Our first night dinner was nice and the breakfast fare was typically Swiss! It was nice to see that staff understood and... More

This is my fifth vacation in the Alpine paradise of Zermatt, and each time I've stayed in a different place, looking for that definitive home away from home. I have finally found it at the Jaegerhof, where I am now six nights into my eight-night stay. I have a room on an upper floor facing the Matterhorn, just as I... More

Stayed here one night, June 25, 2015. Great service from start to finish. Electric taxi picked up 6 of us, and fit all the luggage too, for the short ride to the hotel from the train station (we called ahead). Charming décor (lots of wood, hunting lodge feel), warm and inviting. Clean, comfortable room. Enjoyed the balcony, two chairs, and... More

Free hotel taxi was waiting for us when we arrived at the Zermatt train station and handled our luggage.Family-owned hotel a short walk from main street restaurants and attractions. Efficient friendly service and a spacious, clean, modern, comfortable room with WiFi. It is worth paying the extra 15 Swiss Francs for a room with balcony and fantastic view of the... More

It is about 15 minute walking distance from the railway station in a quiet location. The Klein Matterhorn cable car is about a 5 minute walk from this hotel. It has free Wi-Fi and rustically furnished rooms, some of which have a balcony. The Matterhorn can be seen from some of the rooms. The bar is decorated with hunting trophies... More

This is a fantastic place to stay in Zermatt. We loved this hotel because it was a couple blocks away from the main tourist area so it was quiet but close enough to the action. When we checked in we were totally blown away. It has that wonderful ski chalet feel to it and it is quite large. We had... More

We had a room for three with my wife, adult daughter and I. The room was beautiful with a great deck with chairs that we would spend time just enjoying the view of the hills. The beds were all framed together with the third being at the feet of the other two but that was not a problem and actually... More

A wonderful find! This hotel is family owned and run. The family was delightful, friendly and helpful! Dinners were gourmet meals. (In the dessert one night there were cherries that were handpicked from their grandfather's tree.) Make sure when arriving at the train station you call on one of the phones in the station. The owners will come pick you... More
