This hotel is clearly a family run concern, it's obvious to see that the team work incredibly hard all day and night, it's clean and tidy but I suspect the family that run it (there are photos on the stairways which reflect them) need to get out more and see how other hotels look and are run. I suspect that... More

The hotel itself is far from the town centre but close to the south edge of town, giving it perfect panorama views of the Matterhorn! It is ugly on the approach, down a seedy looking spur of an alley (looks more like a delivery lane). The reception is small, dark and cramped, and the young ladies who work there give... More

We stayed in the family suite, 500, which was perfect for a family of four or more if you have small children. Very cool feel as the roof beams make for low ceilings in parts and give it a lot of character. Fabulous view from the modern bathroom and from the large back patio. Very clean hotel and friendly staff.... More

But that is Zermatt. And we know why you came here. The Matterhorn. The cable car is a short walk up hill, the train station is a short walk down hill. Restaurant on site or a short walk up hill or down hill. The family room sleeps 6 in beds and has a couch. No cooking or kitchen. Restaurant is... More

We only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in a family room which was 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom apartment without kitchen in the second building located right next to the main building. We enjoyed our stay here, like in all Swiss hotels the beds are very firm. The apartment was clean and tidy.... More

We stayed in apartments building, 2nd floor. The view of Matterhorn from its balcony is wonderful. The kitchenette amenities were complete and very well-designed, ready to make you feel at home for a few days of stay. The breakfast was fairly good and fresh. The environment is very quiet and calm. The staff were fine (not very helpful as you... More

Our group of friends came together to zermatt for two nights recently . The hotel is centrally located and has the quaint charm of an alpine town. The facilities are good and staff are well spoken and efficient. Our first night dinner was nice and the breakfast fare was typically Swiss! It was nice to see that staff understood and... More

This is my fifth vacation in the Alpine paradise of Zermatt, and each time I've stayed in a different place, looking for that definitive home away from home. I have finally found it at the Jaegerhof, where I am now six nights into my eight-night stay. I have a room on an upper floor facing the Matterhorn, just as I... More

Stayed here one night, June 25, 2015. Great service from start to finish. Electric taxi picked up 6 of us, and fit all the luggage too, for the short ride to the hotel from the train station (we called ahead). Charming décor (lots of wood, hunting lodge feel), warm and inviting. Clean, comfortable room. Enjoyed the balcony, two chairs, and... More

Free hotel taxi was waiting for us when we arrived at the Zermatt train station and handled our luggage.Family-owned hotel a short walk from main street restaurants and attractions. Efficient friendly service and a spacious, clean, modern, comfortable room with WiFi. It is worth paying the extra 15 Swiss Francs for a room with balcony and fantastic view of the... More
