Having stayed in about 10 various hotels over the years in Zermatt, I can safely say i have now found one to return to year after year. Its location by the lift is great for skiers in my oppinion, whilst there are other hotels by the lift none manage to get quite as close, as well as this some such... more

The Focus and the Coeur Des Alpes (see review here on TA) are two hotels designed by Heinz Julen. They share design and construction ideas, with plenty of transparent surfaces, but the Focus has much more space in all areas. They don't appear to be owned by the same people. .Focus is arty, minimal and modern. Nicely decorated. Every detail is arty. Zermatt is a beautiful place and we were lucky to get a view of Matterhorn from our room balcony. We stay at Dom suite and everything was perfect. Views were amazing and the owners helpful and friendly. The breakfast was superb.Focus is absolute perfection. Just do it!!! more
