The word 'Elite' is a misnomer. The rooms I stayed in (they moved me around a bit) were shabby, the narrow bed uncomfortable, and the noise from the street loud at times. The worst are the 'bathrooms', which tiny plastic modules containing wash hand basin, WC and shower all in the space of a smart car. Interesting (not) if you... More

Good value two star hotel in a good location. Rooms were simple clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but cute a bit like an airline bathroom with a small shower. Reception staff were very helpful and efficient. Parking is available behind the hotel. There are lots of Cafés, restaurants and bars close to the hotel.

Stayed here 2 nights for a working holiday in Sion. I endorse completely the previous review from Isabel Smyth who stayed in room 31. We were in 36, which was similar. The Mexican tapas bar suited me well too. Hotel Elite has quite a cosy atmosphere and I'd certainly stay there again. Staff are obliging in the main but I... More

We stayed 5 nights in Hotel Elite, which was chosen for us by the organizers of a Conference we were attending near Sion. This hotel is located just 5 minutes from the railway station - walk up the Avenue de la Gare to the Manor Shopping Mall and then turn right into Av du Midi. For a 2-star hotel it... More

Sion is a beautiful small town in Rhone valley wine country, however, there are not many hotels to choose from in town. Our years of travel experience have taught us that location is important when selecting a hotel and the Hotel Elite is perfectly situated in the center of Sion on Avenue Du Midi. It's walking distance to restaurants, shopping,... More

I was quite worried about staying here after reading other reviews however I couldn't have been happier. I was part of a group travelling to Sion for a meeting and when arrived the hotel was very busy so was put in a "cheaper room" - the room was large and had TV, wifi (payable) and was pleasantly decorated. This room... More

Pros: Simple, Clean and neat. The breakfast was good. Situated near the railway station. Room is cleaned everyday and the staff is good. Super market just opposite to the hotel. Free Wifi Cons: Free Wifi is available only in the reception hall (not in your room) Knowing only English(full of Sion!) is a sort difficult to manage. French, German(?) is... More

The staff is very nice, but if there is a problem with your room, you may be charged for the cost of fixing it, no matter what you have or haven't done. I have never been treated in such a shameful manner by any hotel anywhere, and I have visited dozens. The owner of the hotel had the audacity of... More

Our room was on the second floor with views over mountains and vineyards. A smallish, well-run hotel just a short walk from the railway station. The tariff was very reasonable and included a buffet breakfast which should satisfy most tastes. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, which we didn't use and therefore can't comment on, but from our observation... More

Really simple room, 2 uncomfortable single beds passed off as a double, (always enfuriates us). Breakfast looked like it had been sat there for a couple of days and waited 10 minutes to get a coffee. For 130 bucks you can find better, even if it is Switzerland
