There's a bit of a walk to the hotel from the train station, so if you have a lot of luggage it may be a problem. The room is small, dark, and old. The bed is horrible - we could hardly sleep at all. It's one of the softest mattresses I've ever slept on. People at the reception are nice... more

The hotel is just up the street from the bahnhof after passing through the subway under the tracks. The area is sort of blah and boring. This is a great hotel. It's very convenient for the train station, being just a couple of streets away, but far enough to not be noisy. It's on a quiet street. We visited Hotel Stella Garni in May 2007. The hotel's website failed to mention that there were a lot of steps and stairs and was unsuitable for people with limited mobility (there was no lift). Certainly glad we selected this hotel. It's near the train station, but not near the noise. It is spotlessly clean and well appointed.
