The hotel and hostel is located just across the train tracks up a little hill, took no more than 5 minutes to get there. I stayed alone in one of the Hostel rooms. The room was very clean and despite having 16 beds it never felt busy. Lockers are deposit only, so it's nice not having to actually spend money... More

of Lugano. Clean and friendly. This time I stayed with a friend in an antique hotel, which is clean and functional, good beds, but ancient style - almost original from "old times". Not at all shabby, but "shabby look" which is enchanting. POOOOL!!!! Palm garden, shades, kitchen.... in short: do not tell others.

Pros: It's quite close to the train station, about 5~10 minutes walk distance. With a small but well-equipped kitchen, which allows you to make a dinner by yourself. Cons: Very thin wall, as you can even hear people snoring from the other side of wall. Small double bed, even for two Asian girls(private room), and room amenities are very limited,... More

We stopped here to connect our backpacking trip and ended up in Lugano after the Bernina Express. Let's just say it's the best value and absolute hidden gem. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is very very nice from the outside and a mere 5min walk from the train station. The rooms (big dorm) are spacious considering how... More

I made a reservation by phone the morning of the day I was to arrive. I was told I had a room and was given a confirmation. I selected the place based on a Rick Steves recommendation. When I arrived, I was told they did not have a room but would put me up in their sister property next door.... More

Great hotel, very short distance from the train station and great connections. Possible to walk to the centre and also by public transports. Lovely view to the city of Lugano. Great staff, clean rooms and very comfortable. Totally recommend.

This is a nice hostel, a some fifteen minutes from the city centre, near the station. To the centre is going down a bit, so back to the hostel is going up, remeber before drinking too much wine. It's in a nice building, and everything is very Swiss and decent, except for the bunkbed i slept in, because that was... More

This hostel was okay, the room was large and had a nice view of the lake. There were no curtains on the window which was weird, the walls were paper thin and you could hear everyone moving around and was woken up at 5am by neighbours having sex. The kitchen area appeared to just be a microwave. It was cheap... More

This lived up to our expectations, no complaints whatsoever. Would definitely go back. We stayed in one of the family rooms and there was a beautiful view from the window of the mountain overlooking the town. We had the breakfast at the Continental next door which was superb though expensive. This is a beautiful part of the world.

This is a very nice hotel to stay at if you don't want to spend a fortune on living while travelling. It is clean and the staff is friendly. The view from the terrace and balconies are great and you can see a large part if Lugano from the hotel, since it's located on a hill. The rooms have everything... More
