This hotel was the worst experience in our otherwise 5 wonderful weeks in Europe. The room, a mini juniour suite, was permeated by a nauseating stale plastic smell, that we couldn't clear despite opening all the windows. The room itself was laughably small even by European standards. There was one thin blanket, no heating. Outside was a nice view of... more

We have just returned from a 5 day stay at the Garni Millenium in Locarno and are absolutely thrilled with the experience made. The room at the hotel is perfectly situated, with panoramic views over the lake and mountains (corner room-top floor). The train station was a 5 minute walk, the ferry boats were just across the road and the... more

This was an acceptable hotel but nothing special. I was a bit disappointed as I had expected something more luxurious, akin to a “boutique” hotel. In reality it has more of a boarding house feel. The staff is pleasant helpful and the check-in was painless. The room was a “superior” room of a decent though not overly generous size. Beside... more

The location is excellent - right opposite the embarkation point for lake boats and a 2 minute walk from the little cable train that takes you up the hill to the boarding point for the cable car. Pieter, the Dutch owner, seems to be on duty 24 hours a day and works really hard to keep his guests happy. It... more

As our title suggests this hotel is a real find. We travelled there as part of a trip to do the Goldeneye Bungee which is situated in the nearby valley. We arrived at the hotel after the 1.5 hour drive from Milan to be greeted by probably the most friendly hotel person we have ever met. It was like meeting... more

We have just spent 5 nights in this hotel (B&B, no restaurant) and found it ideal. It is small, just 10 rooms - we took a double and a triple both en suite, tastefully furnished, clean, warm and welcoming. The breakfast room is small, but adequate and food gorgeous, plentiful and well presented. The Millenium is well situated, just yards... more

'Good wine comes in small casks', is more or less the idea of this saying. and the same goes for Hotel Garni Millenium. It is small but offers real quality. My wife and I were on a week holiday around Tirol, Graubunden and Ticino and our first contact with Millenium was when the owners rang us to check our time... more

I can't say enough about this fantastic little hotel and the couple that runs it! I only wish there were more gems like this in Europe! This is the first place I've stayed at the made me want to write a reivew. We arrived early on a Friday morning and the couple that runs the hotel happily checked us in... more
