For a start, Bellanzona is lovely. An old town with few tourists, it's a beautiful place. The hotel is nice, not new but in good condition. For me it was a comfortable stop at a good price. The room is small, and so is the bathroom, but quite adequate. It was quiet and a good sleep. I ate at the... More

Upon arrival in the evening we were told by the receptionist (a blond woman) that our room was given away as we had not confirmed via email. I had the booking printed with me (with confirmation) and she told us that there was no room for us and that we had to leave. After a lengthly discussion and being told... More

Dear Guest, We kindly apologize for your bad experience at our hotel reception and we sincerely regret not meeting up to your customer service expectations. Referring to the price, the high season in Bellinzona ends at mid-October. You also received a CHF 20 discount on the room rate, so the price resulted to be the equal to the low season... More

As the name implies the "Hotel Croce Federale" is a traditional Swiss hotel. It can be your base for many activities, professional ones or for leisure. It is easy to visit the sights in this city on foot, go to the railway station for a short trip to Locarno, or to catch one of the buses driving you up the... More

The staff was wonderful. We were treated very well. Great location. Close to grocery store and other business. The pizza from its restaurant was delicious. The local Ticino wine was very nice also. The train station is a short walk. We enjoy roaming around all the castles in town. We would stay there again for sure!

We didn't stay the hotel but just ate at the restaurant. Food is good and staff is attentive and friendly. I did find it a bit pricy for Bellinzona (usually "cheaper" then Lugano and Locarno), yet very good and the decor is to be seen. Old building with a special charm. Will certainly be back if I have the change... More

Nice Hotel in the middle of the old town. Very clean and friendly service. Perfect if you are planning to stay only one night like us.

All in all a very unimpressive 2 star hotel. Rooms are small and very simple with no amenities, no air conditioning, no telephone. Rooms at the rear of the hotel look out onto a sheer rock wall - for this reason, they are dark all the time. If you open a window for ventilation, you hear constant noise (banging, yelling,... We choose this hotel because of its location : quite close to the train station, and very close to the historic centre of Bellinzona and one of its castles. The building itself is quite old, but our room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast was simple but fresh and good. This is one incredible city to explore, with its... More

This hotel is close to the train station (8 minute walk at the most), really close to the elevator to one of the castles and a big Migros (supermarket chain). The staff was friendly, the room was clean. not noisy. but small. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok (coffee, juice, bread, some hard boiled eggs, cereal, milk, yoghurt, ham and... More

Good location in center and near train station. No air conditioning- be careful in summer. No elevation, but bags delivered to room promptly. Decent breakfast. Spotty wireless. Would stay here again.
