Located on the side of the lake in the newer part of town one advantage of this hotel is that one can see the lake and the old city from the balcony. The lake, cable car and the old town are short walks. The hotel's immediate surroundings are average, but there are a few eating options that are convenient. The... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of our Globus "Best of Switzerland" tour. Were quite underwhelmed with the hotel in general and our room was very basic to say the least. The food in the restaurant for dinner and at breakfast was the hotel's only saving grace. Definitely wouldn't be staying at this hotel if I was booking accommodation... More

Structurally, the Hotel leaves much to be desired! There is absolutely no charm to the exterior! And the rooms were comparably disappointing. It has the feel of an old dormitory. In fact, when we opened the door of room 235 it smelled! An odor of old wood and cleaning materials! We opened windows which helped a bit – however, it... More

When we arrived at this hotel, our initial feeling was one of disappointment, as it was very busy, noisy and impersonal. Rooms were very small and dated (CRT TV, only herbal tea, no regular tea or coffee, no air con), but there was free Wi-Fi. Things did improve. The hotel has 5 restaurants, 4 of which can be used by... More

This was our third stay at the Laudinella and as usual it fully met our expectations! When we arrived at the train station we were met by the Laudinella bus driver and directed to where he had parked the bus. The trip from the station to the hotel takes about five minutes. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, as... More

Stayed there as part of a Go Ahead Tour. Our rooms were assigned. We had a room in the back and my wife said it had the look of a dormitory. Our problem was that with no air conditioning in the hotel (which really is not needed), you do need to open he windows and ours opened to the back... More

When we first arrived and went to our rooms, we felt a bit claustrophobic. The room was rather small for two women traveling together. There was a French door that we opened and with the fresh air coming into the room, it made the room tolerable. Bathroom was very clean. Tiles glistened. When we left, I left my sandals in... More

As part of a package tour the hotel had somehow not been aware of our booking. Nevertheless we were allocated a suite which was spacious and of good quality and clean. Shower excellent! The only bar was down in what felt like the cellar and whilst we had a choice of 5 restaurants to eat from it wasn't clear which... More

During the summer season this hotel is busy with tour groups, especially Asian. In fact, you might find miso soup at the breakfast bar. In winter it's a hip ski party place. Easy to find if you're driving but if you come by train or bus, the hotel staff will pick you up at the depot if you call on... More

Beautiful area. Meals were OK, but nothing to write home about. We were part of a Globus Tour so had our room pre-assigned. Room was small but clean. Minimal bathroom amenities. We must have had the worst room in the hotel. It was over the service entrance. Lots of noise and I think all the workers came to the area... More
