The night after travelling the Glacier Express the Monopol hotel offers high quality relaxation, large rooms and a amazing rooftop spa, jacuzzi and terrace bar. Combined with very caring staff, central location for shops and a very nice Italian Mono restaurant, highly recommended.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The Monopol is perfectly located right in the middle of posh St. Moritz, close to the mountain railway, boutiques and restaurants. Our room was very spacious, well appointed and decorated in warm colors. The service during our stay was excellent, the entire staff was super friendly, charming and professional. We loved the incredible contemporary... More

Located in heart of St. Moritz's main shopping street, Hotel Monopol is close to all attractions in the town: the restaurants, shops, super markets, bus stations and the mountain railway. The biggest plus of the hotel is the amazing staff who always treat you in a professional and friendly way. From the front office personnel to the housekeeping and restaurant... More

We were booked in here on a 1st class "Great Rail Journeys" tour. Room was clean and comfortable but no view. Food was poor with little choice, e.g. starter- salad or salad. As someone who cannot eat salad, this wasn't too appetising! Rest was almost as good as school meals ----- but not quite!

We took our two adult daughters and their partners to stay for a week in St Moritz mid August. Rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Pillows are always an issue for us - Swiss don't seem to do 'firm', but the hotel supplied extra on request which helped. We found the service friendly and efficient in all areas. Breakfast was... We booked a "superior" room and were not disappointed. Though small, the room/bathroom was beautifully appointed. We were in room #505 and had a great view of the lake/mountains. As we arrived in St. Moritz it began to rain which limited a browse around the (fabulously expensive) shops. While I doubt that I will have an opportunity to travel to... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights during our journey through Switzerland. This hotel has superb location, close to shopping, restaurants and some of the major sites. Our room was wonderful with large windows, good size bathroom, great beds and had good amenities. Eventhough it was in center of the town, it was very quiet. The hotel staff at... More

Stayed in Hotel three nights earlier this month. Street noise was excessive to the point that sleep was impossible. When i visited with the hotel manager at 2:00 a.m. he told me that he had already called the police. He stated this is a common problem in all seasons with many of the local hotels and the police do nothing... More
