A nice guest house managed by the Sonne hotel. The front desk is at Sonne which is nice and the breakfast there is good. But casa Franco has no lifts which is a big downside as you may have to take your luggage up to your room which maybe high as four. The rooms are neat and tidy but beds... More

It's clean, but extremely ascetic. Shared bathroom may turn out to be very unncomfortable, when occupied at all times. Be prapared to carry your luggage up the stairs to the top floor. No TV or Wifi available in that building. Breakfast is also nothing special. Suitable for travellers with a really tight budget.

We needed a room for the night as we arrived by train ( Glacier Express ) and were catching the Bernina Express in the morning. We took a cab for about 15 euros to and from the hotel, though a bus stops at the front door of the hotel and goes to the station. The hotel is located in a... More

Recently stayed here 2 nights with my wife and son in 2 rooms. We generally stay budget and I always say "you get what you pay for". However Casa Franco is NOT the place to stay in St Moritz. No lift and we had to lug our cases up 4 floors. The place has obviously had no money spent on... More

If you want to go to St Moritz and keep the price low, Hotel Sonne and Casa Franco are excellent choices. Very good value for the price. The room was a bit too small, definitely too warm (heat is centrally controlled), and would benefit from wifi, but otherwise, it's perfect for an art/slope hopping holiday.

The hotel is very utilitarian. For a budget traveller, it's clean, a decent size and will provide a good night's sleep. There's no concierge at Casa Franco, and check in and breakfast is at Hotel Sonne. The breakfast at Hotel Sonne is to amazing. WiFi and available computers are at Hotel Sonne as well. This was a good stay for... More

We stayed here in September 2012 for one night. We booked a room for three people and the room itself was very large although smelt very musty due to the wooden celling. The lift was also not in use and we were on the top floor so carrying luggage was not the easiest. Booking stated there was also free wi-fi... More

...in St Moritz getting something reasonable is a challenge...Casa Franco has good rooms at a decent price. The lake is just 5 minutes away...The reception and check in is at Hotel Sonne which is some 200 metres away......

My husband and I stayed here for one night after travelling on the Glacier Express and it turned out to be the worst place we stayed at during our whole Europe trip. We selected it on price and, quite frankly, if we had our time over again, we'd go a step higher price-wise since the room was just SO basic... More

First things, first - Casa Franco is as a basic as it gets. It's a three star hotel and there aren't any bells and whistles. BUT - being that this is Switzerland, it's clean and comfy and most of all, affordable. We checked in at Hotel Sonne, which is a small, family owned establishment right next door. Hotel Sonne has...
