A lovely little village on the train-line from Lauterbrunnen and onto Kleine Sheidegg and then up to Jungfraujoch. The single room is extremely small, but after reading reviews I was prepared for this and quite comfortable, and warm (during 3-4 degree nights). The village is lovely, with fantastic views, and a supermarket, bakery and some restaurants/bars. The breakfast was included... More

Stayed for one week for a skiing holiday with my son. Having read the reviews on this site I was concerned so was very pleasantly surprised as the hotel was much better than expected. On arrival at the station was met by the Hotels small pick up to convey the luggage plus us the short distance to the hotel. Wengen... More

A group of us on a ski trip to Switzerland stayed for the week at the Hotel Bernerhof in Wengen. The village is a delight and would highly recommend. The location and skiing was fabulous. The location of the hotel was good being close to the lift and train station. The only downfall was the food served in the evenings.... More

We booked a last minute holiday to this hotel, little concerned as it was described as a small room in the attic from our holiday company, it had 2 stars and shared facilities. What a nice surprise it was when we got our room, admittedly it was basic, but clean, warm and comfortable and on the front of the hotel with... More

Charming hotel ideally situated in the centre of wengen. Staff we're very friendly and helpful. The food was fine, although a bit rustic. Catered well for vegetarians and children, and offered a daily fondue or raclette option as well as the daily menu. The room was very small, which was the only downside, but that didn't detract from a fantastic... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in the summer. The first room they gave us was nothing more than a "MINIROOM" there was no space at all, tiniest bathroom you would ever see. We rejected that room in first minute we were there. So she then upgraded us to their other building where they have bigger room but then no... More

Great location. Included breakfast was fantastic. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Great views. This is a charming village and the hotel is ideally situated 1 minute from the lift and 3 minutes from the train. Very tiny bathroom. Paper-thin walls (the views and cleanliness are enough to more than offset this). Most of the restaurant staff were less than friendly (one... More

My wife and me stayed at the hotel at the beginning of September, the location of the hotel is quite good , a short walk from the train station . The hotel itself looks (and feels) old and shabby. Our room ,which was with a private bathroom seemed like the bathroom and the sink was added to the room ,which... More

Context of my stay was 7 person family new years stay: 3 borders and 4 skiiers (1 beginner), booked last minute. The region is one of the most breath taking but definitely more aimed at skilled skiiers and borders. A day of sledging is well worth it. We ski frequently so are aware of what ski accomodation can be like:... More
