Old hotel, bad service, unconfortable rooms, rusty bathtub... The hotel seems abandoned, no reception service at all!!! Save your money... there are much better choices in Wengen for the same price and even less!

This hotel is ok. Its clean. located a bit up the hill on the piste, location is reasonable. The views on a clear day from the balcony are excelent. The cost is WAY WAY over priced. This is basic accomadation with a premium accomadation price tag. Please do not be fooled in parting with 20 chf for breakfast, take your... More

Although we booked the hotel well in-advance and arrived early on the day of our reservation, the Hotel Residence Brunner chose not to honor our hotel reservation in favor of an Asian tour group. Our reservations were rejected so that they could accommodate a tour group that did not provide them with the correct number of guests. In their e-mail... More

Dear Rosemary, first of all we apologize once again for the disagreement. It is certainly true that we had an Asian group which was more numerous then expected, but we also needed to keep this group together. We decided therefore to relocate you and your family in a partner hotel. We have been working with this partner hotel since ages... More

Although we planned to stay in Lauterbrunnen for our trip to the Alps we chose Hotel Brunner for the reasonable price it offered.Wengen came as a surprise package and me and my husband were quiet happy with the choice we made. This property is run by the Brunner family since the last hundred years and is located in the interior... More

We had been to this hotel before, 2 years ago, with a package holiday and it was clean, friendly, and full of half-board guests. This time, having booked a last minute February ski break at the hotel, we arrived to find it empty and only supplying bed and breakfast (no dinner, which is not clear on their website) - the... We stayed at the hotel in August, 2011 for 2 nights. Wengen itself is a great place to enjoy and this family hotel is an added bonus to really give you the family atmosphere...When we were there, the hotel is fully booked, so I did not encounter any experience of no breakfast being served... However, if you are looking for... More

A bit of a trek from the train station, but you are rewarded with total serenity. The view from my balcony was perfect and the distant sounds of cow bells were soothing. By far the most relaxing place I stayed in Switzerland. However, I believe there was only one other tenant in the entire hotel when I was there, so... More

I booked this hotel based on tripadvisor reviews, only realizing after the fact that the reviews were from 2010. First, it cost $16 for a cab to get us and our luggage to the hotel. Second, the only time I saw any staff was when we checked in and out, and then we had to summon the owner via the... More

We squose an extra ski holiday in towards the end of the season and managed to get a good deal at the Hotel Brunner in Wengen. Alas this was a bad choice of hotel, unless of course you like a room not bIg enough to swing a dwarf cat in, the unpleasant odor of a mixture of cheap pine bleach... More
