Went to Wengen
Aug 13, 2008

The staffs were extremely helpful and always gave it their all. The views from the rooms were stunning and even though the walk from the town to the hotel was a bit steep it was lovely. It did need a refurbishment but the rooms were all spotlessly clean and there wasn't a speck of dirt. The food was basic and... more

I'm a repeat visitor to Wengen, so have stayed at a number of places over the years. A last minute request into the Tourist Office brought up this gem. We booked 2 days before arrival and got into the village early evening. We were picked up from the ski hire shop and shown into a fantastic newly built apartment right... more

This was booked last minute for a Wengen ski weekend. Our choices were limited, but this was a pretty good spot. A few comments: Ski in/out is a bit misleading. Ski in is definitely the case, as the main trail from the back side of the mountain goes right by the hotel. At the end of the day a great... more

The whole reason we chose The Brunner was for the ski-in/ski-out benefit and we weren't disappointed with our choice. It's a very comfortable, cosy hotel with excellent friendly staff who were all only too happy to accommodate any needs we had, even down to the barman who made the nights propped up in the hotel bar extremely enjoyable. The rooms... more

We stayed at the hotel Brunner just a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We went for a walking holiday with 3 children under 5 and everything was very easy. There is a weekly pass that gives you unlimited travel on cable cars and trains and allows you to go and explore without thinking about the cost. We had... more

The Hotel Brunner is excellent value for money, offering great accommodation, food, awesome views and really friendly and helpful staff. The views from our balcony (which was an excellent size) were stunning, probably some of the best in Wengen due to its position overlooking the glaciers (Eiger, Jungrfrau etc) as well as views across to Murren. Our room was pretty... more

We too booked with Thomsons and really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Brunner. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and tidy. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLANT!! Ok it is a 10 minute walk up hill from the village. Thats no big deal when on holiday, particularly when you can ski to the nursery slopes... more

I booked a week in August 2006 without much thought, in response to a Lastminute.com email. However, after reading Trip Advisor reviews, I wished I had not been so bold and I should like to have cancelled. On arrival, the hotel did look a bit old fashioned and I was concerned to discover there was not a single TV in... more

Was bit reluctant after reading the reviews as it was our first holiday in switzerland. But must say my family enjoyed the place it has a best Views of Eiger, monk and jungfrau. It is a family run hotel. Very central and close to station. (Must warn the walk back to hotel is bit uphill) All I can say is... more

Having skied in the Jungfrau region previously I knew the location of the Brunner as a ski in ski out hotel. So I booked with Thompson Ski. We were met at the station by Daniel and all the luggage was piled into the Suzuki for the short ride up the hill. The luggage was brought up to the room, although a... more
