The Caprice is a lovely hotel with the best staff anywhere who could run training courses for other hotels as a sideline. The hotel style is alpine but light and bright with a farrow and ball type colour palette, great lighting and a view of the Jungfrau that is worth whatever you have to pay for it. Last year we... We stayed recently at the Hotel Caprice for a week's skiing in Wengen and Grindelwald. The hotel is perfectly situated a few minutes stroll from the rail station which also provides access to the slopes at Kleine Scheidegg. The room was pleasant with south facing aspect and from the balcony we enjoyed the views across the valley to Murren. Fixtures... More

We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was a very large room with masses of storage and gorgeous view. The bathroom and furniture have, as other reviewers have commented, seen better days, but everything was comfortable and in perfect working order. Service level was very high and the food gourmet and superbly presented. We were on a half-board... More

Wengen is beautiful and this Hotel Caprice is a perfect place to stay during your visit. We stayed in a south-facing spacious double room. Though the rooms could use a bit of an update (the furniture is well worn), the beds are comfortable and everything is clean. What sets the hotel apart is the friendly service and the desire to... Hotel is wonderfully located. Our suite had the most stunning view, bed is comfortable, room size very big. Hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had an amazing dinner served and having tried other restaurants in town, it was far better then anywhere else. Breakfast is nice too and you can always ask for anything that is not on... More

We have just had a fabulous holiday at our favourite hotel - The Caprice in Wengen. It was a wonderful way to see in the New Year - with the warmth of a friendly boutique and the service of a 5 * hotel. We had many memorable experiences - but to name a few... the lunch on the terrace (yes... More

My wife and I were looking for a weeks skiing with our two girls before Christmas and decided on the stunning ski village of Wengen. We were lucky enough to secure a suite at the centrally located Hotel Caprice. The suite was extremely comfortable with south facing balcony and incorporating a double for us and a twin room for the... More

Last time we were getting married and everything was fabulous as a couple but on returning with the family it just got better. In particular, the new Michelin trained chefs created the most delightful meals. We will return, we need to see the superb view of the Jungfraujoch in the summer!

This hotel hits most of the buttons but also misses quite a few. It does has a great location with spectacular views of the Lauterbrun valley. But when we stayed, you can tell that they were ready to close for mid season. The rooms were nice but badly in need of an upgrade. The staffing was minimal although adequate for... More

Stunning views of mountains and waterfalls, great food, owner operated very helpful, the decor is fabulous. When we arrived after a long journey, the owner gave us a beverage and sat us down at the balcony overlooking the most stunning view in Switzerland overlooking lauderbrueten valley.
