No doubt it is an old hotel but this is an award-winning one. The managers and staff are excellent. And the dog, Caramel, OMG so lovely!!! We arrived in summer end of May 2013, and it was snowing heavily. The snow was quite thick and it's just pure fun. Temperature was minus 10 degrees. The room was okay, I had... More

I stayed in the ski season in Hotel Regina, and it was a terrible experience. The hotel needs a complete RENOVATION, as it is very old and lots of things are broken down. I had wall paper coming down in my room, which was not repaired during the whole week (see picture). I asked the dutch speaking manager for compensation... More

The Regina is worth a visit even though it has seen better days. We went at the end of the season for my Birthday and all in all I enjoyed it but the bedrooms are in desperate need of a re-furb. More worringlyl a tile fell off the roof on to our balcony - which could have been nastyhad we... More

We loved our stay and having the owner greet us daily with a smile made us feel like we were at home and very comfortable. The food and service was fantastic and truly first class. I agree with other postings that the hotel needs a freshening up and was obvious when we first arrived but over the first few days,... More

We sayed at the hotel in February 2013 for a week. The saff were helpful and pleasant. our room was adequate warm but very small, but definitely not 4 star decor or furnishings. The set meals in the restaurant were very very restrictive with small portions. There was no salad or dessert buffet. Some of the dishes were very meagre-three... More

I cannot believe that this hotel classifies itself as a four star hotel, I agree that it should be rated two star. We stayed in a double room in which we were cold every single night even after the heater was supposedly fixed. Disgusting pink granny floral decor (everything from carpets to curtains) and ancient style bathroom with ugly yellow... More

the cost of the hotel is like for the most luxurous 4* hotel , while actually what you get is equivaent to 2* hotel. The SPA fassislities are very poor. a super mini wet sauna and broken chairs , with not even water to drink. , and the food slection is very poor. You would expect to have from a... More

Just back from a weeks skiing in Wengen. Conditions were great. Travelled with Inghams who are very organised. Perfect timings from airport to resort. Alison & Stefan very knowlegable. Hotel is very well located to train station and town centre. Walk up to hotel can be a little challenging if conditions are icy though! Hotel is of traditional style, which... More

Highly recommended hotel in an ideal setting for skiing and enjoying Wengen and the Swiss Alps. The hotel built in the 1890s is full of old world charm and elegance. Staff were warm and welcoming and provided excellent service. Our room overlooking the Jungfrau was large, warm and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave.... More

My wife and I stayed here three times in 2005 and 2006. The skiing is out of this world. Can ski 8km from Kleine Scheidegg to Grindelwald. Tobogganing world class. The valley is the most beautiful in Europe. Rooms are old but very comfortable. Where else in the world can one wake up and see Silberhorn? Wonderful food for half... More
