I very much loved staying here. The hotel was very close to the train station, as well shopping areas, restaurants, and the gondolas to get to the skiing areas. Perfect location. The staff was so friendly and inviting. Breakfast was awesome. Our room was very clean and new and had a view of the alps. This is a second time... More

I have visited Meiringen more than 3 times and have always stayed at the Rebstock. It is centrally located, a short 5 minute walk from the train station. Since I traveled solo on this trip, I booked a single room with shared bath. I was surprised when the owner put me in a double ensuite for the same price as... More

This was my fifth 2-week stay at the hotel in 5 consecutive years. I can't get enough of Switzerland! Breakfast this year has improved.............greater variety of fruits, which I enjoy with the great yogurts offered. The eggs, which you boil yourself, seem better than those I get here in the USA. Just tastier with richer color, too. And I can't... More

We stayed one night in late May 2013. It seemed that the hotel was very not well patronized as we were only ones at breakfast. An elderly lady served us cordially at reception and at breakfast. Light in hallway were not turned on so was rather dim. The kind lady upgraded us to a room with a barhroom.

This is an excellent small hotel. It is clean and well-appointed, and the proprietors / staff were most helpful and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were first class. The central location, with private car-park, was most convenient and the town and surroundings were an absolute delight.

Excellent! For this money it was something! Fantastic breakfast! The place is the best, right near the train station, the Sherlock Holmes museum and the fall for which I came! The staff is very, very nice! I booked a room with the toilet on the floor, but my room had fully equipped bathroom and toilet - nice surprise! Would recommend... More

We stayed for just one night. The room was large, bathroom adequate. Free wifi & flat screen TV. We travelled on a motorbike which we were able to store overnight in one of the hotel's garage. We were also able to borrow a hairdryer & Swiss adapter from reception, very useful as limited space on the bike. Meiringen itself is... More

I stayed at the Rebstock for two weeks and found it most pleasant and comfortable. The staff was always helpful. The room was fresh, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and far more than the continental breakfast I expected. I can't say enough about this gem of a vacation spot. You're right in the middle of the gorgeous mountain scenery... Nice budget hotel, centrally located within easy (5 minute) walk from train station. We had 2 rooms next door, one for kids and one for adults. Rooms were satisfactory, bathrooms were dated but serviceable. Although our rooms were non-smoking, hallways had strong cigarette smoke from nearby smokers. Tried hotel restaurant one night; traditional foods served and my kids struggled to... More

We stayed one night at the Hotel Rebstock after being bumped from Sporthotel Sherlock Holmes (see my review there). We loved the Hotel Rebstock. It was very quiet. The room was large, seemed very new, with modern furnishings and nice wood floors. It was very clean, had comfortable beds, and had lots of storage. All of this was a real... More
