We have just returned from Interlaken after spending Christmas 2007 at the Hotel Carlton-Europe in Interlaken and we had a wonderful time. The Management and Staff offered a warm and sincere welcome to all of us who travelled with Travelsphere from UK and nothing was too much trouble - the food was very good, as was the atmosphere -aided by... more

My wife and in, our mid sixties, stayed at the Carlton Europe Interlaken for four nights in late September 2007.It had clearly been recently refurbished and was clean and very smartly redecorated throughout. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.we found the meals to be very good and in fact above standard for its class we particularly liked the service by staff... more

This is a very, very tired hotel. Fairly close to the railway station which if you're going to use it as a base to explore the Jungfraujoch, as we did, is quite convenient. We stayed there for 2 nights and all our excursions took us to the trains and up into the mountains, which is in the oppostie direction of... more

We visited Interlaken, as we wanted to go to the top of the Junfraujoch. When booking, we were surprised at the prices for hotels in this resort, when compared with the quality on offer (i.e. you pay a lot for not a lot). We settled for Carlton Europe, as the website showed nice photos, and the location was good (it... more

The hotel was close to the station and a short walk to main shopping street but as Interlaken is so small, everything is a short walk. The reception staff was friendly and they are upgrading the front entrance which was a slight inconvenience. The hotel room was spacious with a small balcony and in a quiet area. Bathroom was average.... more

The service at this hotel was above and beyond! I was travelling with a friend and my 10 month old daughter. I ran out of diapers on a Sunday afternoon and was told by the man at the front desk that diapers were sold at the pharmacies and that they would all be closed on Sundays. I didn't know what... more

An excellent hotel with excellent staff. They were very helpful and i have absolutely no complaint. Infact I am returning to Interlaken this year and staying at their hotel. It has merged with Villa Europe now - and is called Carlton-Europe now. more

We stayed in this hotel in the Swiss winter and I have to say I was very pleased with it. It was in walking distance from the main station, and it was not that far from the shops (as one reviewer had mentioned). The rooms were well furnished. We stayed in a standard room and it was lovely. We had... more
