Apart from a central position in the city, this hotel was pretty average. Unsmiling staff; poor breakfast; noisy; no views. Actually, for most tourist purposes, it is probably better to stay near the Ost station rather than the West. We could not find a decent meal inthe town either. Great little hotel in beautiful Interlaken. Close to the Interlaken West railway station, 5 mins walk. We arrived at the Interlaken Ost (East) station - 20 mins walk - if possible suggest you go through to the West station. Spacious room, good service and good breakfast. We stayed at City hotel in August 2005 for 2 nights. It's a small family operated hotel near a nice italian and indian resturant. Even though its a small hotel but they managed to have one small elevator (capacity of up to 4 people)which was great as we didn't have to carry our luggage through stairs!!
