We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Eiger Hotel. From our initial arrival and introduction to Saskia on reception and a complimentary glass of Gluwein we knew we were in good hands. We had paid extra for a "lifestyle Eiger view room" and well worth it. 5th floor was great with an amazing view from our furnished... More

This was my second trip from New Zealand to the Hotel Eiger Selfness in Grindelwald within two months. The place made such a lasting impression on me when I visited in the autumn, I went back for a Christmas ski trip, this time with four members of my family from various parts of the world. At the end of my... More

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location. Both hills are nearby and the half board option is great with plenty of choice. The Linus meal option is fantastic! The hotel has great atmosphere in one of three bars all night long. I would happily stay at this hotel again.

I stayed at the Eiger Selfness and had great meals every night. The food was fantastic and the staff made me feel welcome at all times. The spa is a great way to relax after sking and the food options with the half board room is spectacular. I would gladly stay ay this hotel again.

A family-run hotel near the centre Grindelwald. The welcome is very friendly and efficient. The staff are all well trained and exude enthusiasm for their jobs. Some of the rooms have been refurbished while others are yet to be upgraded. We paid a supplement to our package tour operator to have a room with a view and it was worth... More

We spend a weekend in Grindelwald every year and have so far stayed at different hotels every time. We had good hotels and not so good ones. But every year, we ate at the Eiger's restaurant and we always loved it. So this year we decided to stay at the Eiger for the first time, and we do not regret... More

Had a great stay between Christmas and New Year. Staff at the hotel was very friendly and flexible, starting from the booking process and continuing throughout our stay. The owner spoke to hotel guests at least once a day which was a very nice touch. We had booked a couple of adjoining 'Lifestyle' rooms that had been recently renovated and... More

We stayed for two nights just before the busy ski season had started. Very friendly staff, clean warm rooms and lovely breakfast. Convenient central location in Grindelwald. Great extras like use of a lovely gym and swimming pool complex down the road. No hesitation in recommending.

5 mins walking distance from the train station, ski lifts and restaurants. Yet rooms prove idyllic views. Concierge staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and decorated tastefully. Only slight criticism is of weak wi-fi connection in the room, but otherwise lovely hotel in a beautiful town. Would recommend staying in Grindelwald rather than Interlaken. Good balance of... More

My daughter and I arrived by train at the Eiger Selfness Hotel, tired from our day of exploring gorgeous Grindelwald and our spectacular journey by cog railway up to Jungfraujoch, the Top of Europe. Imagine our delight when we were met at the front counter by a sweet smiling receptionist Saskia offering us each a glass of wine! Our bags... More
