It is difficult to write a poor review on Hotel Bodmi. If you want a good, small and friendly hotel in Grindelwald then look no further. The location is just outside the town with a superb alpine view. Steep paths lead you into the town in about 15 minutes, but then the bus stop is a mere 50m away for... More

I tend to overlook minor problems when I get good service and genuine niceness. And this is the case when I think about Hotel Bodmi. To be picked up at Grindelwald train station by the hotel owner himself and be greeted with his wife's wide smile every time we arrived back in the evening are only a few of the... More

We spent 5 days in this hotel. Although the service and food was very good the room was very basic and I guess we were actually paying for the view. Have not really got much else to say - disappointed.

We spent 5 nights at Hotel Bodmi and would recommend it highly to anyone who appreciates a quiet environment away from the tourist scene in the village. There's a convenient (super steep!) path from the First station straight up the hill to the hotel (located adjacent to the gondola line - which is ultra-quiet when it operates during the day... More

This is a lovely quiet hotel a little out of the town on a hillside overlooking the north face of the Eiger. The views from the south facing rooms are beautiful. There is a regular (every 30 minutes) free bus into town. If you are looking for a quiet hotel with superb views the Bodmi has it all. The spa... More

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Grindelwald. Our welcome was so very friendly and helpful, Our room was spacious and comfortable and sparklingly clean. We had very efficient wifi as well as a great variety of TV channels with good reception. We ate twice in the restaurant in the evening and found the food to be delicious... More

this is my 21st year at the Hotel Bodmi, and in prior reviews I have commented extensively on all the usual things, great view, wonderful people, fine food. This year I want to focus on the dozen+ well-fed pampered goats that the owners Elisabeth Kaufman and Kurt Gisler raise with all the love and devotion of Peter and Heidi. She really... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The owners gave us a warm welcome. The rooms are spacious. Bathroom was very clean. They both had a balcony. Breakfast in the morning was full of local food. The restaurant serves good food and there is a lot of choice. Children are treated like real guests ! Restaurant is "alpine style"... More

My wife and I as well as my brother and his wife stayed there for only 1 night. One of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure staying in. Everything was spot on and there is no way you can beat the breakfast. Should have stayed longer. Will be back.

This is a fantastic hotel. The Owners and staff were very warm and courteous, very child friendly. I stayed with my wife and three children (under 7 years old), the room was catered exactly to our needs. The service was great right from the start of the day breakfast to dinner. The food was very good with tasty traditional Swiss... More
