I can't believe that nobody has ever made a review of this place. So, here goes...

A small group of us stayed in this hotel in September 2007. The hotel is situated in central Gsteig and is easy to find.

The rooms were ok. The overall decor, while clean, was outdated and shabby. Our double room had a mysterious room between the bedroom and the bathroom, and we were unable to identify its purpose... it was about 2 metres square, with a sofa and a light. It could have been a useful dressing room, if its window had had curtains. The bathroom was ok, or would have been if it hadn't immediately run out of hot water, along with every other hotel room in the place. The cable TV had over 400 channels.

The two main staff (presumably husband and wife), operated as some kind of unwitting comedy duo, or even as a good-guy bad-guy routine. The 'wife' would go around talking to people rather abruptly (in German), and the 'husband' would follow along a few steps behind... more
