My husband and I are actually staying at the Ramada tonight. We are on a weekend bicycle trip from Neuchâtel to Baden and wanted a casual but still slightly upscale hotel to stay overnight right about in the middle of our trip. So Solothurn it is - a very beautiful little city on the river Aare. The Ramada is conveniently... More

Hotel is well located, easy to access from the road, and you can easily reach the downtown by walking. People at the reception and at the restaurant are very nice. Prices for the room and the restaurant are quite expensive unfortunately like most of hotels in Switzerland. Climatisation in the room is noisy and when you switch if off, you... More

This is a review for the Penthouse Bar at this hotel. Went with my husband for drinks and a bite on a Friday evening. As its name points out the bar is located on the top floor of the hotel, with marvelous views from the city of Solothurn and the river. Confortable sofas, glass walls and nice -not loud- music... the staff was very accommodating and helpful. understood and communicated well in English. although the hotel is is a fairly new building, there aren't many electrical outlets in the rooms, so if you are traveling with a lot of electrical gadgets that need charging be forewarned. internet access is free, but the wifi could be spotty at times.

Upgrade to a room with a direct view of the Aarne River and the old city. You are a fool not to do this. The location is as picturesque as any I've ever seen. The Ramada deck leads right to the walkway along the river. Right across the the river is the historic walled old city in all its splendor,... More

I stayed here the last night of a 5 night business stay in Solothurn, having spent the first 4 at Hotel Roter Ochsen. The Ramada is modern and beautiful, and in a great location for the train station. My room was very small, my brother had a much larger corner room on an upper floor overlooking the river, but it...
