I got a very warm welcome at arrival. My room located in annex was big and nice. I stayed in march 2015 for 3 nights. Stay was fine. Arrived late (10.45 pm), but reception was very helpful. Breakfast was tasty. Close to historic buildings and sites. Quite. Strongly recommend .Real value for money.

We chose the Hotel Vadian mainly for its position: the Abbey Library and the Cathedral are just around the corner. The Vadian did not offer family rooms so we had to decide for two double rooms. True, the hotel is small and the rooms are a bit Spartan in the Swiss way. But it's newly renovated, scrupulously clean, well-run & perfectly located -- a five-minute walk from the main train station and literally on the edge of the pedestrian-only touristic center of St Gallen. Excellent Location in the Centre, directly located at a square with Cafés, yet very quiet. Design of the Rooms as well as the bathroom very nice, new furniture, good mattresses, everything is as the Standard shall be Top clean. St. Gallen hotels were heavily booked for a conference but managed to get a room here. I was sceptical about being in a 2* but it was not too bad. Have visited some hotels in St Gallen. Vadian was inexpensive sowe had some doubts. However, it was just as good if not better than some of its more expensive competitors. Breakfast was abundant and location in the middle of the old town is very good. Train station is within walking distance. Recommend.

For a long stay, rent one of their flats, great location, large and well equipped flat. Clean, great staff. From the very first contact, they were always helpful.
