A nice touch in a central location. Stayed in the annex, which is an old building with bags of fancy things to make you smile and go "oooh" or "aaaah", and sometimes you might say words instead of noises such as "Fancy!" Room also has plenty of character and "oh ja" potential. Quiet at night after the bars have emptied... More

Thanks for taking the time to rate us. And we are happy, you enjoyed your stay in St. Gallen and the Dependance in particular. Please note, that the bath rooms in the Dependance are not equipped with a jacuzzi, even though the shape of the bath tub may suggest so ... More

Very nice boutique hotel, well located; just 5-7 minutes’ walk, from train station, in the old city and next door to the Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen and church. Lots of small restaurants and cafes in the old town. Check-in/out was very easy with kind and helpful receptionists. Room was good size, very clean, recently renovated or new with flat screen TV... We are glad you enjoyed your stay at our hotel. We take feed back seriously. We may not be able to provide a coffee maker or tea kettle in every room, but we are looking to providing you with an equivalent service. It is true, that we don't have fridges in most rooms, but guests are welcome to deposit good,... More

This hotel, located in a picturesque old building in the old part of the city of St. Gallen, is modern on the inside. Our room was very small for two people. The rooms on the front overlook the street, which can be rather noisy, especially in summer when the widows are open. There is no air conditioning, but in summer there... More

I got a very warm welcome at arrival. My room located in annex was big and nice. The breakfast is fine, nothing special but very fresh and some different choices that most likely will satisfy the majority of the guests. Nice to offer tea or coffe in the room. The staff is serviceminded and friendly. The hotel is located in... More

I stayed in march 2015 for 3 nights. Stay was fine. Arrived late (10.45 pm), but reception was very helpful. Breakfast was tasty. Close to historic buildings and sites. Quite. Strongly recommend .Real value for money.

We chose the Hotel Vadian mainly for its position: the Abbey Library and the Cathedral are just around the corner. The Vadian did not offer family rooms so we had to decide for two double rooms. The rooms are not very big but charming, clean and newly renovated. The hotel staff is extremely open, smiling and friendly. The atmosphere at... More

True, the hotel is small and the rooms are a bit Spartan in the Swiss way. But it's newly renovated, scrupulously clean, well-run & perfectly located -- a five-minute walk from the main train station and literally on the edge of the pedestrian-only touristic center of St Gallen. All in all it's much better than the more expensive hotels closer... More

St. Gallen hotels were heavily booked for a conference but managed to get a room here. I was sceptical about being in a 2* but it was not too bad. The weird part was being in an annex about 200 metres from the hotel. The entrance was through a restaurant corridor leading to their toilets. Once in the room on... More
