A few seconds walk from the station, this hotel is perfectly placed at the end of a long train journey. The staff were very welcoming and didn't mind me trying out my French on them. I had a corner room with one window facing towards the street/station and I didn't notice the trains at all.

The staff was fabulous. The room was spacious with a nice view of the Lake--unfortunately the weather was not good--so could not really see the mountains.

Recent review by nivagh is pretty well spot on. A significant improvement that can be made is to include hot food at breakfast. The days of only offering 'continental breakfast' have gone.

The view and location are great but the lobby and the rooms need more attention, even for a 3 stars hotel. The restaurant look is 50's but actually we don't know what has been refurbished or not. Stayed her on business for 3 nights. Had a room with a view of the lake which was honestly only stunnng. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is your standard fare. Had dinner on the terrace one evening which was very good.
